Most Looking Forward to These Activities

39 posts in this topic

So, it looks like it may be some time before life is “normal” again. However the SIP will be lifted at some point, and we will feel lucky to be healthy. What activities are you most looking forward to returning to/implementing? Some of mine are bougie, but I’m being truthful. What are yours?

- Some fun extended family time. (Miss them so much)

- a normal work schedule....so bored

- a visit to the hair and nail salon

- not being terrified to go in public

- hanging out at the parks and pools

Normal days off and shifts again, sports back to watch again and of course all the ladies welcoming us in with open arms!

Looking forward to normalcy in so many areas.  Would love to have work feel normal again, but currently it is very stressful.  Had 4 deaths this week, 2 were probably COVID related.  I'm missing seeing my friends....in person rather than talk, text and video chats.  I miss shopping when I want to rather than just when I need to.  I've missed hobbying....A LOT.

Hopefully this is making me appreciate "the way things were" and hopefully they will return with some extra enthusiasm and gratitude.

I miss my Son and Granddaughter.

Can’t celebrate a 11 years old birthday at our home because of this bullshit.

Hugs!! I missing being able to hug my friends.  Friends & I have been trying to emotionally support a gal who just lost her husband after a long battle w/cancer.  Tough to do when we’re not allowed w/in 6’ of each other; when we have to wear masks hiding facial expressions, smiles.

Riding!  Being able to jump on the scooter and just ride.  What to say at the check point when asked, “Is the trip essential?”  I don’t think they’ll accept, “Yes, officer, it’s essential for my mental health!”

Movies & dinners out!  I was anxious to see “I am Patrick” when they shut down the theaters.  What-a-Burgers’ drive through just doesn’t have the ambience for meaningful conversations.

Colorado, with her mountains and the fine ladies of TOB.

I miss having an income! Although my trade is considered essential, customers are not scheduling work in their homes. I understand why, but I'm still wondering if I'll end up broke and homeless before this is done.

On the bright side, I can spend all day looking at pictures of naked ladies! :D

Unfortunately I think many are in your situation.  All contractors have been ejected from the park, work has stopped, and customers left because they objected to being placed in strict quarantine (no access to park facilities) after interacting with the contractors.

I’m not sure how much longer we(society) can sustain this w/o suffering permanent damage.  Or how we’ll get out of it?  One of the causes of WW II was The Great Depression.  But WW II was also the jumpstart of our economy.

Troubling times🤔

Yet when I attempt to schedule some outside work, the contractor NCNS!

My sympathies go out to anybody who has lost a loved one under any circumstance. And although we have lost all those people that you mention up there in different situations it’s the fact that we’re losing so many people so fast losing 80,000 people over a years time is not like losing 5000 in 6weeks.  it just keeps doubling, rolling down the hill faster if you will. Let’s hope that this might just be what the country needed ? things have been going so fast  and i feel like The saying stopping to smell the roses has become just that ...just a saying ! nobody really does it anymore I mean it sucks what  we’re going through, totally !!! but it’s also kind of nice to pull back on life and reflect and realize how good we have it. This shit is scary and horrible . But maybe mother nature  is weeding herself out?  Slapping us in the face , waking us up and making us remember whats important in life. The world made it through worse things im suspecting the world will get through this too. Now go wash your hands

A restaurant. I’m so tired of cooking all my meals. I just want to order some shit and fuck it up. A non-keto meal specifically. Just all the empty carbs I can handle that will most assuredly destroy my stomach but it’ll be worth it.

Lors of mind-blowing sex with mid-40's thin, busty blonde women who know how to please and be pleased.....

(Pausing here for pulse rate to return to normal.  Oh, the imagery......).

Getting a haircut.  Any longer and I can start braiding it.

Shopping without a sheet of plexiglass  between you and the cashier.

Being able to cough in public and not have people run for their lives.

Getting rid of social distancing. Well on second thought, we can keep it. That way I have a valid excuse of why women have always stayed at least 6 ft away from me. Lol

A HeadBlade(tm) will take care of that problem for you. Remember, God only created a few perfect heads.  The rest She covered with hair.  😁

My mom passed away on March 15,my aunt just entered hospice ,a HS friend has terminal cancer and two feature dancer/porn performer/model friends have just been diagnosed with Coronavirus. 2020 is very rough , between this nasty virus and natural causes.

Worst part ,is the fact that the cemetery (mom wants to be in the same crypt in the mausoleum dad s in ) is not holding funeral services due to the 6 ft social distancing.

Hugs to everyone going through similar times

I miss going out for dinner and drinks with my friends.

I miss going to the movies with my kiddos, shopping and mani/pedis with my daughter.

I miss taking Luna to the groomer and doggie day camp, playdates at the dog park and taking her shopping at her favorite place in the world petsmart. Lol. I miss her dragging me through the front door.

Food - going out to eat.  My cooking is awful.  I put some frozen vegies in the steamer and promptly forgot about them until the pot was ruined.  Yes - I failed to boil water correctly.  Can't wait to eat food prepared by people who know what they are doing with that stove/oven thingy.

Look at this as an opportunity to learn 😁

If you don’t have a cookbook in the house, download a few recipes.  Sit down & study them.  Start simple!!!

Fry an egg.  Then boil it. Hard? Soft? Pancakes😀

Get an InstaPot.  Follow the recipe(s) for tasty meals.  Hint:  it shuts itself off when time’s up.

I’m no great chef like some here, but I was frying eggs at 5 and baking jelly rolls at 7.

I'll run out of rep points, so just want to say that I can relate to most everyone in this thread.  My hope is that we all get to experience the things we miss when this is over...with enthusiasm and with gratitude.
