The Provider Paradox

48 posts in this topic

Providers charge as much per hour as some lawyers and other highly paid professionals. And they seem pretty busy! So then why are so many providers so broke and always needing help with fixing cars, paying rent or house payments, medical costs, groceries, etc.?

Another strange contradiction: Escorts are very independent-minded business owners who don’t want to get into relationships, yet they have a large number of male “friends” that like to “help them out” and care for them despite knowing they’re not going to get much or anything in return.  Is it the economics of multiple streams (no pun intended) of income?

The key word here is "yet." Hang in there brother. Your day is coming. 🤣

Seriously though, to the OP, if you want to be a provider, post an add and wait for that big lawyer money to roll in. Otherwise you might not want to  question how our great ladies conduct their business until you've walked a mile in their shoes. 😉

Providers dont bill 80 hours per week in 10 minute increments.  Word to the wise: dont ask your proivider for legal advice and dont look to your attorney for fun in bed.  You'll likely be disappointed with both results.

To the OP, you’re going down a hole that you won’t be able to climb out of.

Word of advice, never publicly or face to face with a lady, question about her finances or revenue stream.

 Very inappropriate.

You should apologize and then ask the mods to delete this thread before you gain a reputation you don’t want.

I disagree. I prefer it left up so all the ladies who see it can refuse him. The trolls make it easy to deny them any play when they out themselves like this. He basically blacklisted himself for us. :)

That many  - perhaps even the majority of - providers aren't good with money isn't exactly a secret. Hence the frequent fund raisers, tin cupping, asking for rent money, prepaid, etc.

Sometimes you feel you're stuck in an endless loop of...

However, the smart hobbyist turns this lamentable fact to his advantage. How? Let me give you an example.

Years ago I was banging this hot stripper out of Baltimore. Killer body, total PSE, great review, but expensive: $300 an hour. There is not a chance in hell that I'm paying a hooker this kind of cash.

However, she had extremely poor money skills, liked to do lines and drove an expensive car. So, frequently you would get emails from her saying she needed money and she'd come over for $150 or even $100. Sometimes she'd stay the night for $500.

These days I usually post my ads on CL 1) during the last week of the month (rent's due soon), 2) Before the beginning of summer (girls need money for summer vacations), or 3) just before the semester starts (tuition is due). Responses go way up.

The point is: if you've paid full price, you've paid too much.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with reaching out to our community while we're in the midde of a pandemic/economic depression. The majority of this country has received assistance for being out of work. There are fundraisers all over helping their communities that have fallen on hard times, and these are hard times.  Heaven forbid one of us reaches out to our own community to help some of our own. You just want to use this tragedy as another opportunity to bash on SWs, because thats what you do.  It's okay though, as you already know, there's no shame in my game when it comes to helping our community. 💋💋💋

Happy Mother's Day everyone 💞

Whole lotta questions about legitimizing sex work now. Why the heck should a sex worker get paid any more than any other unskilled job? They don’t have the credentials, bona fides, pedigrees and there are no barriers to entry. At least gambling and drug dealing have become somewhat legitimate, albeit still associated with unscrupulous behavior. Sex work legitimization (ie decriminalization) just can’t be everything that the women want. And I think that if it were decriminalized, regulations would probably drive a lot of women out of the business because they would set standards for health testing, ethical practices, taxation, safety for workers and clients, etc. This could even mean obtaining some kind of state licensure that a lot of ladies with felonies might not be able to obtain. Of course, like the cannabis industry, there could still be a black market but I wonder if the fines for working without a license would be higher?

Im just trying to give all this some serious thought. I’d love nothing more than to see the business become Legit so we could see less harm come to the women and men who participate.  Take a look at the other post about the New York laws.

And for all you mothers and motherf*ckers, Happy Mother’s Day!

There is a vast difference between “legalize & regulate” the industry and decriminalizing for both providers and clients. Most intimate with the industry are in favor of the later.

As for your 2nd question, because the free market supports that pay scale.

I'd like to go back to the the guy who hasn't been screwed by a lawyer.  Dude, if you haven't, it's not that you won't be, it just hasn't been your turn yet.

Dear OP

ASSuming your statements have sone validity I wonder how much responsibility you own for the relationship you have with providers?  Is it at all possible that you are creating the environment in which you live?  Personally if there are people falling over themselves to give me something and in return I get to treat them like a doormat I might take them up in it...look around buddy, bet there are other in your life treating you bad and you explain it away.

If you’re asking if I choose to be a doormat, the answer has been yes for some ladies.  The ones that aren’t clear in communications and the boundaries are not defined, much to their advantage. Who isn’t a sucker for a pretty lady in need?
