Posted June 20, 2019 Hey everyone! How many of us can accommodate credit card payments? I was curious about a couple of things, since accepting a credit card is easier than ever: 1) How does your charge show up on my statement? 2) If professionalism and discretion weren't a consideration, what would you really want to show up on my statement?

I can't answer your question. I'm currently cash only. May I ask you what your credit card policy is for cancellation/disputing the payment after the session? I've always worried about this, and I'm wondering what the policy is for the credit card you would be using?
Posted June 20, 2019 I honestly don't know. I've never actually disputed a charge.

Posted June 20, 2019 I don't have any actual plans to use a card. I was just curious about the logistics in this day and age of e-money. Plus I really wanted to know what everyone would call their business if they could
Posted June 20, 2019 Semi-funny story: I got my credit card statement and it had two mysterious charges for $280 and $160 from a "Building Materials Supply" company in a northern Colorado town. Well, since I certainly could not recall buying any building supplies I called the credit card company and they put their fraud team on it and reversed the charges. A couple days later I got a phone call from my very upset tattoo artist as to why he was being hassled by my credit card company! I explained it to him and asked why he used the alias since he is totally legit. His answer was that credit card companies don't like to have tattoo parlors as vendors! So I guess that it is unlikely that "Scarlett the Escort" will show up on your credit card statement

Posted June 21, 2019 Not sure how it would show up on my statement because, though I am single and unattached, I only use cash. I know the world is changing to cards and bitcoin, but for some things, I prefer to use cash.

I have a system on my cards that sends me a text message alert anytime my cards get charged (no matter how small) so I knew what it was for right away...
Posted June 21, 2019 I always wondered about that. So does the girl have a swipe attachment for her phone or does she use her smartphone to just type in the transaction? It seems easier to just set a envelope with cash down. The only other problem I see with this is releasing rw info. Except for one girl who is retired, I have kept my rw info out of the hobby. If she is caught in a sting, they could look up all her transactions. Your name, address , month , day, year and amount is all in LE's hands.

C'mon, you should have said: I went into the kitchen, filled the tank, added 2 tablespoons of grounds to the basket, let it brew, then filled my cup. Added 2 cream and 2 sugars, then, waited for it to cool just a bit. Then, brought it back to my office, took a bit sip, then read the response, and now I'm in line at the best buy to get a new screen and keyboard installed after I spewed that delicious coffee all over!

The upside is police can no longer force you to unlock your phone through biometrics or any other mean without a warrant. And those transactions should not be easily stored or viewable without going through other means of security to unlock. I guess I’d also ask what could they legit and legally do with that info?
Posted June 21, 2019 What about if she has a legit business that she charges you under? Something that is roughly around the same price range that she charges for her hobby time? Wouldn't it be hard to tell exactly what charges were for what services even if she was caught? And if you knew what the other business was you could just claim it was that if asked about it... 8 hours ago, Alex Majors said: I always wondered about that. I accept cards in my business. The company name, registered with the card processing company, will show up on your statement. "ABC cleaning" "Steve's Remodeling" "Feng Shui massage" "Jenny's Escort Service" etc. etc.
Posted June 21, 2019 I don't care how it would show up on my statement, but I would rather continue to use cash. There are no technological problems, service fees from the bank, declined cards, etc.... If I were to prepay for a session, I think Cash App or Venmo would be better. It would be like me transferring money to a friend to pay them back for something they bought for me.
Posted June 21, 2019 cash is king in this world - IMO - it is crazy to have clear cut evidence pointing anyone to what you are doing - discretion is such a huge part of this type of dating... cash ends at your bank machine - where you go from there is TBD... unless you're car is track-able... ive heard of visa gift cards being utilized by a buddy who wins them with his sales job - now that is genius because no one other than him knows how many he really has...
Posted June 21, 2019 Most of these comments are from the gentleman's side. From the ladies' side my question is: why would you want to document for the IRS your potentially taxable income that would be literally untraceable if it were cash?

Most people who run their own small business don't want to limit how a customer can pay. Usually, the more options available, the better. I'm guessing most providers pay taxes, just like any other small business. Those, who do not pay taxes, are probably not going to admit it publicly...
Posted June 21, 2019 Credit cards subject again 😖 As has been reiterated over and over, credit cards in this environment is NOT a good idea. Cash only for everyone’s safety.

I use to take credit cards, but I had to many people dispute the chargers afterwards which means they ripped me off and got their service for free because the money was then taken from my bank account which sucked ass! Of course when confronting them I got the "oh my SO saw it and she disputed it" When I was using a CC it would come up on the statement something like Consulting. If discretion was not an issue I would still keep it the same, people do not need to know the details.

I have had several people dispute charges when using a card, that is why I stopped accepting them. Banks ALWAYS favor the client so the provider will ALWAYS be out the money as it will be deducted from your bank account

Posted June 24, 2019 It would certainly be more convenient for me. The hassle of going to the ATM, sometimes there is a line, sometimes is just one person in front of you but they are so useless it will take them several minutes before giving up and moving on. Sometimes the atm is out of order and you have to drive somewhere else...risking being late for your date. Its a shame some ladies won’t use CC for the fear of being taken advantage of. -
Posted June 24, 2019 While a card could be more convenient I don't want ANY kind of a paper/digital trail. I would direct the readers here to the multiple discussions about hobby phones. If the worst should happen, and a provider get busted, credit card numbers, (with the owners name) will become tremendous assets to law enforcement, as would phone records.
