Is this normal protocol for a provider?

38 posts in this topic

I was texted her Colorado ID. Just after a few back and forth texts. Is this normal or a big red flag? She didn't ask for anything in return. What would you do? I'm not in the mood to get popped by LE. Am I expected to do the same? I'm paranoid to begin with.

Plus asking for 1/2 a deposit sent before. Half the websites out there seem loaded with scams. Its a legitimate address but do I want to knock on the door and its not her? Plus I wasn't asked for any ID screening. How long will an add like that last before its removed for scamming?

Too many red flags here to count. No way the lady you expect will be behind that door, if you even make it that far. Too many great ladies on here to roll those kind of dice.

Ref Flag. Red Flag.

With you sending half a deposit upfront, you’d be lucky if anyone answered the door...if she even gave you a legitimate address.

I don’t know..... How long has she been around? Does she have recent marketing? Did you Google search her images? Where are her reviews? Are any of them recent? Are any of them from known reviewers? I think you might want to learn how to do the necessary research before knocking on any doors.😳 You want to protect yourself, and not have to feel nervous. That’s not a fun time.

I know for me if seeing a newbie or someone with history of not showing up, I ask for a small deposit. I think I pass the initial sniff test though, and most that have good intentions, have no issue with a small deposit. I’m not sure about 50% though. 🤔  Everyone has different business models that work for them.

You would NOT believe how many fake bookings are being made right now.🙄

Don't even consider it. Sending you a real world I.D ( which may well not be hers), and asking zero about you is the total reverse of screening. Clearly, all she is interested in is "selling you" on the idea she is legit so you will send a deposit. That's not how screening works... that it IS how scamming works.  You showing up, knocking on an unanswered door and losing your deposit...that is your BEST case scenario here.

What is a "fake booking"?  No call, no show?

I +1 this !! Its insane how appts are made and ncns!!  But as for op did you do your homework? I mean i dont do an extensive check like that... i have my own screening process i use. And if im unsure of someones intentions , i.e. they book multiple hours ... i may or may not ask for half deposit as well . I do ask for dep. on outcalls , just for the reason of too many bogus appts. I chalk that up to the fact that their are younger players in the game and a lot of them , not all ,  but some tend to think its cute to mess w providers. Thats my own opinion  but im not sure i agree all red flags on this one jmo

:):)

If she not screening by asking for refes or some other ways to screen don't do it

And she just  hands over address  and say come over now don't do it

Why I don't screen by texting ...

ANY kind of deposit is a paper trail.  I only made a deposit once and got nothing for it.  Too likely to be an electronic cash and dash.

I have offered deposits/advances to travel companions.  I felt it important that they cover their ‘at home’ expenses and eliminated that stress before we left town.  I’ve never been stiffed in these situations.

I have never provided a deposit when requested (demanded?) for a typical session, including dinner dates.

I never send funds in advance. I had a girl from Seeking Arrangements today who only wanted $30 by cashapp, to prove I would show up. I told her in the past I had a couple girls ncns, after I was already in the hotel room. Plus others that I drove an hour to get there, only to be ghosted in the parking lot. So I told her that maybe I should ask her for some deposit,  to make sure she will show up. She wasn't happy with that answer and blocked me. 😜

Why I don't screen by texting ...

This is my first time posting here in a very long time and only my second post ever. But, I keep reading many of you providers saying this and it's really starting to irritate me and rather than just jump to conclusions, I figured I would ask for an explanation of why you feel it is appropriate to make such a blanket statement on a public forum. I CHOOSE for my own very valid and logical reasons not to screen my clients in any way that would require them providing info and knowing that I am doing any screening. And, I also don't give a crap about obtaining references. So please, do tell me, why is it that a client should ABSOLUTELY never ever book with me? I've got 80 reviews here and I'm the 3rd ranked Denver provider on the other review site that recently became accessible again. I'm well known and been in this biz in this town and have provided services here for a very long time without ever having been accused or robbing, raping, or otherwise injuring or ripping off the clients who do take what you say is the "risk" to come see me. Furthermore, if I were a provider that did require references, I would be happy about and appreciative to another ESTABLISHED and WELL reviewed provider who was willing to see newbies with no screening. That way at least there would be someone who was TOFTT and allowing for there to even be new clients introduced into the community. Because if not, it's a catch 22 and no newbies can break into this elite club without being willing to provide their ss#, DOB, 2 references, and the middle name of their eldest child... If screening and asking for references makes you feel like you are somehow safe, then great! I would never get on a board and try to keep business from coming your way for your practices because it's ultimately up to you. So I don't understand why any of you feel that it is ok to tell potential clients NEVER to see a provider that doesn't screen such as myself.

There is a lot of paranoia in this hobby. That said, potential client should do their homework and read your 80 excellent reviews before deciding to see you.

I absolutely agree. Which is why it bothers me when providers say again and again to NEVER see a provider that doesn't screen as a blanket statement. Or the other favorite statement- there are plenty of newbie friendly providers in the ads, just make sure you avoid those that don't screen. That's just causing more paranoia and insinuating that all of us that don't screen are going to do something awful to ALL new clients and that's obviously not true. So it would seem much more helpful (since it's basically always said in the context of trying to "help" newbies find a provider) to suggest to avoid providers that don't screen and ALSO have no, or very few, or bad reviews as well. Unless of course the intention is not to be helpful (at least not to the newbie) and is actually to try to help themselves by making other providers seem like they are dangerous. Which was why I was hoping to get the feedback of the providers who are so fond of repeating this (and you know who all you are) and find out their explanation to me as to what valid reason they have to justify suggesting I personally not be seen...

I like what everyone had to say.. Danni Lake yes. I agree with what you said. This screening and lack of screening there are no one fits all solution. For me being older and a little wiser. It just depends. I got scam in September, 2016 in Old Town Arvada.  I lost 2 bills because something didn't feel right, When no one answered the door.. .

Curiosity is making me ask this question...How did you lose 2 bills if nobody answered the door?

She had accomplice meet me in parking lot before going to specifc apartment. The accomplice called her to confirm I had given the money in a plain white envelope.

What was interestng, she sent pictures (Back Page),  gave cell number to set up and text when I arrived at apartment complex. She said I'll have girl friends meet you. Also the BIG RED FLAG parking in park lot ( to see me/car) and description of my car.  I purposely parked on the street.. What intteresting there had been some bust in Wheat Ridge & Arvada. Inpounded car fee was $1500.00. I've met other providers on BP, it wasn't as bad as this situation. Only reason I do that is I want younger providers (some are more open to stuff). Wheras some here are specific about what they won't do. I like a little freaky/kink.  Anyway, I just monitor the ones I'm interested.  Some come to TOB, others are on whatever escort site that lists providers in the metro area.  Anyway , snow tomorrow, be safe and take care. I am attempting to meet an escort. All week I get " I accept Paypal, cashapp, or gift cards. I choose gift cards. Then they want me to get 2 gift cards and send them 1/2 the rate. with promise of me handing the other half in person.  Then when I balk at that they keep trying to convince me to send it. This has happened 3 times this week. Each time I declined. I am begining to wonder if this the new way of doing things. If it is, I don't like it. I would much rather go back to the normal way of doing things 2 call system, Make arrangements to meet, Then pay cash.

I have been trying to get someone from either Locanto, Yesbackpage, or EscortAlligator, However they all seem to be fakes. Even when I choose only providers with Colorado area codes in the phone number.

I think I am going to do what one previous person said and just meet up with providers that are on here. Probably a bit more expensive but worth my piece of mind.

Definitely worth your peace of mind!

The only time I offer a deposit is with ladies I know well; ladies who have become friends.
