Favorite Condoms and Lube?

30 posts in this topic

I prefer Trojan ENZ non-lubricated as they don't leave a funny taste in my mouth. For lube, I use the plain store brand. Should I get a variety for different sizes and preferences?

What you don't want funny tasting condoms????

I don't know about condom taste, I know there are many flavored lubes that might be fun

I have seen regular and magnum sized condoms, do offer super small for some guys???

We are guys. We hate condoms, but of course would ALWAYS wear one in the context of this hobby. Always.

I always make sure I keep some latex free ones with me. You never know if someone has an allergy.

I always keep latex free as well. You also need some XL. Based on how often I had to buy condoms, I would say that approximately 30% could use XL. If a guy needs XL, and you try to stuff him in a regular... yikes! Also, I keep a variety of lubes. Some break down condoms. Some are better for women, and some better for men. Looks like you get to go shopping. Yea!!!;)

And if anyone decides to see Stevie, you may require a body condom, as he clearly is a dick. I will take my spanking for this one Mods.

Always appreciate when a lady has non-latex, but I still always bring my own.

While I don't have a favorite condom I'll always bring a couple along...it puts a kink in the whole "I'm out of condoms" scam.

As for lube it has to be water based and I'll usually bring along a small tube. That silicone crap is just too hard to clean off. It's sold as being better than the water based stuff because it doesn't dry out but that's only true if you're engaged in some kind of sex that involves absolutely no other body fluids and it's still a pain in the butt(pun intended) to clean off.

...Happy Hobbying...

...Crazy Horse...

I oddly enough agree with you, maybe for different reasons but I do. I of course keep condoms on hand it would be unprofessional of me not to but it's surprising to me how many men just expect women to always have condoms. If you have a penis and a condom preference make sure you always have them. If you have a proclivity for visiting escorts and safe sex, have condoms. Safe sex is the responsibility of everyone.

I have always been a fan of Magnums and more recently started keeping Sir Richard condoms around. Never really been a big fan of lube but sometimes it's needed and hands down JO is the best stuff around.

A few ladies I've met have told me that they'd never use a condom from a guy bringing his own. They both mentioned the same concern - and it shocked me. They said that some guys poke a pin in the condom so it can leak.

Ugh. WTF?

In the outside world, yes, a guy should be packing his own protection.

In the Hobby world, some guys are married. If a stray condom was found at home, it could mean big trouble.

So don't bring it home? I 100% agree that providers should of course pack their own but all men should think about that kind of thing married or not. Maybe even more so if you're married, so you don't spread the love so to speak.

I have also heard scary stories of providers tricking clients into babies!! It's a weird paranoia that slices both ways.

It's not necessarily bringing them home, but could show up on a receipt. From personal experience I've been asked three times to pick up covers, one from a well-reviewed lady (who was embarrassed and apologized profusely) and the other two it was first time. The latter were some of the worst experiences I have.

I think it's the cost of doing business for ladies, but (for me) if it's a new opportunity and she asks me to pick up party favors on the way, I'm cancelling on the spot!

The majority of intimate lubricants cause cancer.

 Anytime someone says some commonly available item either causes or cures cancer, you can safely assume it's bullshit. There have been a few exceptions (like BPA) but they quickly go off the market.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Care to cite some evidence?

parabens cause cancer "Measurable concentrations of six different parabens have been identified in biopsy samples from breast tumors" See reference below.

http://www.breastcancerfund.org/clear-science/radiation-chemicals-and-breast-cancer/parabens.html

Just google these two words "parabens cancer" you'll see long list of different types of cancer.

paragons are in hair products, make up, lotions and intimate lubs.

Its all bullshit parabens don't cause cancer. Most breast cancers develop in the upper outer quadrant of the breast ... Parabens are chemicals used as preservatives and as food additives.

Can't argue with you on this. Just like a 2nd phone, keep it hidden. And receipts need to be tossed before getting home.

But, it is one less thing for the guy to worry about if the lady takes care of it. Just like the lady taking care of a hotel room or them maintaining a incall apartment.

Call me crazy but I think they are available for free at planned parenthood clinics. I remember seeing huge buckets of them in the lobby free for the taking.

Thanks for the links. The most "damning" of these basically say that "parabens are found in tumors", but that doesn't mean they cause cancer. (Blood is also found in tumors, but I don't think blood causes cancer.)

The last link you sent says:

However, there is no good scientific evidence to suggest that parabens from any cosmetics can cause cancer in people, nor that the levels of parabens found in these tissues are harmful.

They don't talk about lube, but apparently the parabens are the concern in all these products.

I think most people would agree that the folks at the Mayo clinic know what they are talking about with respect to cancer. Below is from http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/cancer/in-depth/cancer-causes/art-20044714 (and the underlines are mine)

Myth: Antiperspirants or deodorants can cause breast cancer.

Fact:
There's no conclusive evidence linking the use of underarm antiperspirants or deodorants with breast cancer, according to the National Cancer Institute and other research.

Some reports have suggested that these products contain harmful substances such as aluminum compounds and parabens that can be absorbed through the skin or enter the body through nicks caused by shaving.
No clinical studies have yet given a definitive answer to the question of whether these products cause breast cancer. But the evidence to date suggests these products don't cause cancer.

If you're still concerned that your underarm antiperspirant or deodorant could increase your risk of cancer, choose products that don't contain chemicals that worry you.

I would agree with their last paragraph - certainly if you have concerns don't use these products. By my blood gets in a boil when I read things like "xyz causes cancer" when the truth is far more muddy.

I quickly learned about the variability of condom feel once I started in the hobby. Using a condom was the most difficult change in sex going from BB at home. I use Crown condoms (Okimato Skinless) and always bring one to my provider visits. As far as I can tell with some research, they are the thinnest. The only problem with them is I haven't found them in the local pharmacies, so I have to order them on line, which is complicated with an S.O. Since she travels some, I've ordered a hundred (cheap) when she was gone. I am able to keep them well-hidden, so not too worried about their discovery. I've had a few providers raise an eyebrow when I put one on the nightstand, but it's never been an issue as long as the provider isn't latex allergic. As I don't ever want to make the mistake of leaving one in my pocket if the condom is not used, e.g. oral finish, I just leave the condom on the nightstand and never put it back in my pocket.

I'm not particular about lube, as I never had one applied that didn't work.

Fork, I am not a doctor. But being that I had stage 1 ovarian cancer. My doctor told me to stay away from parabens. As they cause cancer. Have been related to cancer, found in tumors of cancer patients. Which is where I got my information from.

You mention they don't say anything about lubes. Well if you read the labels, the majority of intimate lubes have parabens, and they more than one side effect on women. So I assumed I was helping other women. Apparently not. Lets have a jar of parabens. lol

I won't argue bout it. I do trust my own doctor. Sexual Lubricants, if I recall he gave me a list of 7 types of Parabeans synthetic preservatives to avoid that can be absorbed through your skin. Its my understanding that Silicone Parabeans synthetic preservatives oils also have a toxic side effects on women. But I guess this wrong too. So I'm gong to shut up.

Thanks for the information. I try to use the least amount of chemicals in my life. I already use natural make up/hair care, but totally spaced on lube being chemical laden.

Precisely. And why would a professional woman even want to trust someone else's condom. Maybe that thing is 10 years old.

I usually carry a re-usable condom. Use, rinse, repeat. Is that bad?

At least you are recycling!
