If You'Re Black, You Shouldn't Disclose That To Your Provider

34 posts in this topic

In years past, my advice has always been: disclose your race to the provider, saves hassle this way.

However, I've changed my mind. Does a white person tell a working girl that he's white? No, he doesn't.

So why should a black person?

A provider who discriminates on the basis of race (an entirely arbitrary criterion with no basis in facts/data/statistics - no, sorry, you're not more likely to be killed by a black whoremonger), should be fed a healthy dose of her own medicine.

I mean, if you want to come to a black dude's house and then decide you can't go through with the appointment, your sunk/opportunity costs are:

1. Time wasted coming to my house.

2. Time wasted leaving my house.

3. Gas wasted.

4. Missed appointment = $0 in your pocket.

5. Couldn't schedule another appointment in that timeslot = $0 in your pocket.

6. Wear and tear on your car.

Further thoughts:

If she asks, lie. Many of "us" don't "sound black" anyways, so the question never comes up.

But, but, I hear you say, I'm gonna get bad service! My answer: you're banging a working girl, not dating the Prom Queen. She still spread her legs, didn't she? Alternatively, write her a bad review if the service, so to speak, sucked.

It's 2013, ladies, if you wanna be a racist, do so in another universe.;)

Complain to the EEOC or file a report to the BBB. In this activity who anyone sees is their own business. Since most encounters are incall it is the guy who is wasting his time, gas and wear and tear on his car.

What a grown up attitude. Apparently she realized who you were and how you feel about women in general and providers in particular. And you somehow think you are not the cause of your own problems?

Pick up your butt hurt feelings and move on.

Who said anything about Obama care?

The market corrects things.

Ya know, the market that starts with "I need to make some money" and ends with "damn, if it weren't for my silly hangsups about skin color, I could've made $$."

You're exactly right. In other words, let the lady decide. If she wants to go hungry because she doesn't like black dick, then she's free to turn away from your door. That's her business, and her right.

If the hooker's about-face when she first sees you offends your delicate "African American" sensibilities, then disclose your race when you call her.

Hookers could also turn away goofy-looking, gray-haired, middle aged men. If they did, you wouldn't see my crying like a baby on TOB.

Get over it.

I totally agree with you here actually. All I care about is the green. I could care less what color you are. But if you are a black man calling me without any references, it's my prerogative to say no. Too many wanna be pimps and time wasters and bullshitters out here for all that. :)

and while we're at this tired, hackneyed discussion, humor me, will ya:

1. cite your sources

2. you think a white working girl isn't going to stick out like a turd in a punchbowl at an outcall in 5 points? montbello?

3. i listen to voices for a living and, with the exception of a handful of exceptions, i can always tell a person's race and/or ethnicity by hearing them talk so even to an untrained ear, they'll get it 90 percent of the time - unless you grew up in a part of the world that's part of the UK or a former european colony, in which case 'you people' most likely will have a pronounced british or french accent most likely. still .....

And another thing I think you have ever right to complain about whatever is your talking about. Because all these other mofo's complain about little shit all the time. And when you have something to say people are always bringing you down. So say fuck them and you too. Just fuck it.

I have plenty of white men who feel the need to disclose their ed problems and states they want and need someone who is going to be patient. Really, no difference, do I make money or do I not.

I know one provider who advertises "No African-Americans" but who tells me stories about her best friend, a black guy. Would you call her racist? I wouldn't, but I don't know what to make of it - just food for thought.

Maybe afraid her next appt might be her BF who might not know what she does for a living.

I know a Dominican that refused to be my tour guide to the Domincan Republic becoz she was afraid her friends and family might find out what she does for a living. Went to Costa Rica instead. ;)

Half the folks who posted on this thread have trouble grasping my point, which is that I don't really care about whether a working girl is racist or not. I don't care about the morality of racism AT ALL.

My point is, if you're a racist, there should be consequences, and those consequences should be part of the market logic of escorting, that is to say, your racism should result in you losing money.

In other words: if you demand to know my skin color, you're trying to "hedge your bets" and are trying to "game the system". It's like asking what the winning lotteries numbers are before putting money down on the lottery ticket.

Take the case of Paula Deen: Had this story come out 20 years ago, people would have wrung their hands, sent Deen to some PC-reeducation camp, etc. Now, because of the power of social media, companies are dropping her left and right. And with new allegations coming out about the treatment of her "cook", I suspect that even her two restaurants aren't going to bring in the kinds of dollars she's used to.

Needless to say, I'm also not interested in the bullshit excuses providers make (I'm afraid of black men coz a black dude looked at me funny in the elevator, etc.)

Addendum:

Here's the article about Paula Deen's cook:

No guys under 35 years old.

No guys over 65 years old.

No guys over 300 pounds.

No guys with open sores.

No guys with dicks bigger than my arm.

Prejudice?

I think not, just personal preference.

If a woman ask for a picture, this idea kinda falls through if you really want to see her~ But honestly, if you find a woman you want to see and she is kinda flanky toward Black Males, maybe taking her off the list would be a good idea EVEN if you aren't a black male. It just depends on you and how you feel about the situation. But I don't think lying about being black would be a good idea, so if asked and if you want to see the provider, I would just tell the truth. If you get rejected because of your race, well now you know not to contact her and move on to the next girl! :)

I don't automatically think a provider who doesn't see black men is racist. I've spoken with providers who don't see black men and they stated that they its just an attraction thing, they just aren't attracted to black men.

The same is true from the provider perspective, some hobbyists are not attracted to black women and so they do not visit black ASP's. And just as its the providers choice not to see black men, it's the hobbyists choice not to see a black ASP. That's the breaks! Its equally frustrating for me as a black ASP as well but I accept that I am not the preferred ethnicity for most hobbyists.

Well put, Taliah. Thank you for a perspective from a different angle.

There is a fine line between preference and prejudice. How can we, as outsiders not being mind readers, determine which is driving an individual's choice? To ascribe one or the other to someone else's choice merely reveals our own bias.

I've also seem ads from black providers staying no AA. So I'm more prone to believe its about attraction then race. Lots of my civilian girlfriends are not attracted to black men.

It could be that the provider had a less then favorable experience with a black hobbyist and so she's no longer accepting black clientele. One bad apple spoils the bunch. We're human, we generalize, make assumptions, it's our nature.

What does escorting have to do with attraction?

I mean, most escorts don't have a problem with a 300 pound blubberwhale behemoth with a hairy gut climbing on top of them, but, lo and behold, a black man shows up: AND ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE!
