Is a "No Show" Worth A Review?

41 posts in this topic

I'm guessing this happens all the time. Had an appointment with a well-reviewed provider for Sat 1030am. Set up with text per request during the week. She asked for confirmation Sat am which I did and I asked for directions. 9 am I get a text saying she has a flat tire and will try to get it fixed in time for our appointment. Text her back to say take  your time. No response. 10 am send a text asking about rescheduling. Again no response. End  of conversation. No subsequent texts. Nada. Annoyed to say the least. It wasn't a "no call" but certainly a "no show". Should I write a review?

Answer: Nah.

Unrelated opinion:  It is very disconcerting that a guy would use the photo of that gorgeous woman as his avatar.  No criticism, I just find it jarring every time I see it.  Same for GQ's thong shot.

These are strange times we live in, when avitars realize that their true sexual identity is not the same as their owners'.

Nope. She gave you a 90 min heads up. That's above average, I'd say.

It's a close call.  A for the 90 minutes heads-up; F on the no call to re-schedule.

It is your choice, to review or not to review that is the question. Do what you feel is right, and remember it is your avatar.

It's a cancellation, with 90 minutes notice.

It's not a no call/no show. No appointment ever happened. You, and everyone other than her, have no idea what actually happened. Maybe she got beat up by a guy. Maybe she got booked for driving without a license. Maybe her monthly started. Maybe her car is still sitting there with a flat. None of us, but her, know. It's sad that she never contacted you, again, but that happens sometimes.

What's to review?

You could have always offered to change her tire ;)  Or asked to cancel.  Assuming she was as vague as stated - "hoped" to get it fixed in time - she should have followed up with a clear "not gonna make it, sorry".  But I have seen much worse and seems like a move on and get over it to me..

The no reply to your request for a new appointment is disappointing. Contacting here again probably depends  on her reputation, personality and your interest.

Reminds me a retired provider I really liked seeing despite the challenges.

After about a half dozen, painfully disappointing  last minute cancellations, and many many more halfway set appointment "yes, let's meet Monday..." then radio silence and so on with this provider, I figured out that about 80 percent of the "appointments" just wouldn't happen because this provider was just super flakey, but when we did connect it was awesome. I miss her, but not the run around!

The things I do for Mr. Johnson.

The way I read the OP her last communication indicated the appointment was still on. Even with the heads-up, I'd still call it an NC/NS. I have in the past pulled the NoShow review trigger too quickly, with predictable results. Give her a day or two to contact you before dropping the hammer. She knows what she did.

I'd call it a no-show. She didn't cancel. Fine for a review. 1 no-show ain't a career killer. Well-reviewed with no other no shows won't get a second look. When it's a pattern it's a problem. Can't see the pattern if it's not posted.

You never know until you read the review whether or not it could kill a career. Not talking specifically about the OP but there are times when something like this happens and ugly reviews are written as a result.

If the situation was reversed and say maybe it was you that had a crappy day and a flat tire and you didn't show up to the appointment, do you think it's fair that you'd be added to the naughty client list? Just so we can see a pattern if there is one?

you don't know what happened or what she did. if we providers were as hard on you clients when it came to "reporting" bullshit incidents there would be a ton of you who would never get another appointment.

You're right. I don't know what really happened. That's why I started with the qualifier, "The way I read the OP...

I responded to the fictional situation described in the OP which may or may not be based on reality.  We don't even know who 'she' was. Was it you?

A No Show is an incident area where there is little grey area of subjective opinion. It happened or it didn't, though there is sometimes doubt as to whether an appointment was actually established. (A doubt cleared up in the OP.) It's also a situation where both clients & escorts may be guilty. Both be damned!

Except you added that he should wait a day or two before he drops the hammer. So classy and that read to me like whether or not you know what happened she still deserves a NCNS review.

"I have no idea what the truth of the situation is but wait a day or two and then drop the hammer cuz she knows what she did"  You seem to have a strong opinion despite your qualifier.

And nope wasn't me. The guys around here (especially you) are comfortable calling me out by name so definitely not me.

Has she 'earned' an NC/NS review? Yes.

My advice to wait a day or two had more to do with if he ever wanted to see her. If she FINALLY calls, offers a plausible explaintion (for both the NC & the NS - in this particular case NS seems covered), and they make other arrangements, then perhaps the difficulties of the original appointment can be worked into a review of the consummated meeting. If, on the other hand, he pulls the trigger on the NC/NS review, he may lose that opportunity. I've got that Tshirt.

cancellations go both ways! I had quite a few appointments cancel last minute on me last week. Four cancellations! Just knowing that this goes both ways for the Provider as well as the client is important to note.

I don't think a NC/NS is a bullshit incident. Getting ready and getting to an appointment is typically 2 hours for me which is 2 hours of lost income. I'd rather be working then sit in a parking lot waiting for a call that will never come. I like to see the NC/NS reviews because if there is a pattern I won't bother to make the call. If both sides were a little harder on each other there would be whole lot less bullshit going around.

While I tend to agree that "if both sides were a little harder on each other[,] there would be [a] whole lot less bullshit going on", I don't think losing 2 hours of income is a valid criterion. It's your choice to book an appointment during paid time, that's on you.

In re the OP in general:

Personally, I don't think a review is necessary. The goal was accomplished- you get to vent about "unprofessionalism", & anyone who is truly interested in finding out the details can PM; all without putting the ASP in question on blast unnecessarily.

Face it: the only thing you're out is a little time(and you didn't get your dick off when you wanted to, boo hoo), this is not the end of the world.

I hope it doesn't happen all the time because as others stated above, this would be a pattern!  Just because she is well-reviewed doesn't mean she's always professional!  You waited a day to vent/express what you should do and hopefully, she has reached out to you by my writing.  I agree it wasn't a 'no call' that took place because she did reach out to you in advance.   It definitely was a 'no show'.

I know many ladies and gents feel like me, that if I did a NC/NS or NS, there is valid reason ... like I'm still onsite at the accident, spending time in the Iron Hyatt or something that may be out of my control.

I always wait a bit. But I really encourage NCNS to post because you can see the pattern if there's 15 good reviews and 5 NCNS reviews. That helps others figure out that they shouldn't wait around if she's suddenly not answering. It will also hopefully help her get her stuff together to just flat out cancel if she must. I think that would be common courtesy but it isn't.

Hell, I think a young provider even left the hobby a few months ago because she did a ton of NCNSs here. I'd been looking at her, tried communicating with her, and gave up because of those reviews that just showed she wasn't into changing.

I'm not trying to run anyone away. But this is valid feedback providers sometimes need. Sometimes it just doesn't matter and she had an issue and will ignore it, so it's fine. I, and many others, will still probably see a provider with some NCNSs. I would wait a few days, then post it, even if it is just a small vent of frustration that really wouldn't change much.

FACT(*): She did NOT show up for the appointment

FACT(*): She did not call to cancel the appointment, even after the scheduled event

That pretty much earns an NC/NS review.  If she had extenuating circumstances, she's welcome to rebut the review.  She may have all sorts of reasons for missing the appointment and failing to make a cancellation call.  But her excuses do not alter the facts (as presented).  How she earned an NC/NS immaterial to if she deserves a review.  It may be relevant to how the review is interpreted by prospective clients.

Should we expect credit for the term paper we didn't turn in to the instructor when "The dog ate my homework." is our only excuse?

But you personally don't know. There are no actual facts because it's only side of the story and who knows is the OP is being totally honest? These kinds of post always come off as vindictive passive-aggression. No review is needed after posts like these because the "have to know"s will figure it out and a lady gets a back channel bad review.

Any time a guy posts about wanting to write a bad review about some well known provider it just reeks of drama. Writing a NCNS review and forcing a girl to explain herself via a rebuttal isn't cool either. It perpetuates the high schoolish drama of he said she said.

I DO NOT GIVE A DAMN WHAT REALLY HAPPENED!

My 'write a review' response is derived from the hypothetical(?) situation presented by the OP, as I have said repeatedly.  If reality fits the hypothesis, then apply my response.

But then again perhaps LK's just being the female version of 2Big.

Maybe we wouldn't. So what? Dude don't show up he should get reported. Most ladies won't take your call again if you no-show once. They don't care much for why either. Nobody should be doing that to other people. Don't need to know what happened. Just need to know that it happened. If it's a pattern it's a problem. I quit hosting outcalls. Colorado seems to tear up too many tires for my liking.

Holy crap, what is so difficult here?  OP had an appointment for 10:30.  At 9:00 she forewarns him she has an issue she could not foresee, but she will TRY to get it resolved in time for their appointment.  He tells her to "take her time."  That to me would translate into, hey not to worry, no rush, 10:30, 11:00, it is all good for me.  Then at 10:00 after telling her to take her time and a full half hour before the original time he sends a text (one root problem, frickin' texts, but I digress) that mentions "reschedule".  Dude, YOU cancelled the appointment!!  Whether you meant to or not. It is not up to her to get in touch with you again to schedule.  It is up to YOU!!  Hence:  she called, you cancelled, there was nothing for her to show up for ....... therefore absolutely nothing to review.  Get over it, move on and learn to be concise and clear in your communications.

ps Bit: may I suggest you quit arguing with Lucy while you are ahead ..... well, kinda even ....... OK, just stop. Would it kill either of you to say "you are right" to the other?????
