What should the ladies be referred to on this board? Escorts, ASPs/Providers, Hookers, Bitches, Prostitute, Call Girl. I feel like we should have a vote for the official title for the ladies and gentleman. Ladies first because they are the ladies. Escorts, ASPs/Providers, Hookers, Bitches, Prostitute, Call Girls ect. are what I can think of for now. This is not the official poll. This is just a test poll just incase somebody came up with better names.

Any of the above, except bitches. That's just not right (except in some cases) :D

Saw a sign (T shirt?) that said,

"There's a word for you but it's not used in polite society except around the kennel."

To the OP: I prefer YL, radio slang for young lady. All the gals here are young compared to me and I like to think they are "Ladies"

Being PC on a john and hooker board? Oy.

For a while there back in the old days, half the ASPs wanted to be called "courtesans", 'cause it make working as a prostitute "classy". So, missing that option (guess "other").

Escort might not work for body rubbers, femdom, other services. Can lead to claims of being misleading.

Call girl is so Lifetime movie or 70s/80s. Bitches for cash and dashers or when I be pimpin'?

So, yeah, I'm with av8r. Good luck getting a "one true word" to be used and enforced by some thought police.

That's from an old movie Bit, 100 greatest movie insults of all time on you tube. it was in there.

Two things...

One I think the appropriate question is what would you ladies prefer to be called?

Two unless the conversation calls for it specifically we ladies generally refer to you as gents or guys not tricks or johns or clients.

I lied three things, you could stop addressing us by our "work titles" all together. Any non provider females please raise your hand, oh wait there aren't any! There is no mistaking what is the ladies around here do so why the need to say it out loud all the freaking time?

Sad I also noticed ladies wasn't an option on your poll.

I prefer to call them by their actual (stage) name but understand you are looking for a reference to them as a group :)

If you're not ashamed of what you are, why does it bother you so much?

"Call girl" , "hooker" etc are descriptive, therefore appropriate. Bitches would just be insulting, and is not descriptive of the profession, which is why I think it should have been excluded from the list. Its inclusion makes me think this poll is more about stirring up shit than anything else.

Anyway, I don't see many guys here getting all upset about being called "johns", so I don't see the problem with "hookers".

Anyway, I don't see many guys here getting all upset about being called "johns", so I don't see the problem with "hookers".

None of the women on this board refer to clients as "johns". None, that I am aware of, anyway. The word "john", I've actually ONLY heard clients say. I'm not saying that the women don't use it, maybe they do, I just don't know any providers who actually call clients "johns" (or "tricks", for that matter). The most common term in this day and age is "client" or "hobbyist".

Also, "john" really isn't the matching name for "hooker". "Trick" would be the corresponding term imo, and "trick" is indeed a somewhat insulting term. Just as "hooker" is somewhat insulting to many.

However, I'm not particularly bothered by the term "hooker", but I grew up in a world where "pimps" and "hos" and "tricks" all coexisted. The word "bitch" was also pretty standard, but used by the pimps, not by the clients. The clients normally called us "working girls", but we called one another "hos". If a client were to call us that, he'd likely get a face full of pepper spray!

Even though I don't mind the word hooker or ho (or bitch, for that matter) or trick or john, I do realize that some words are insulting to others. Therefore I don't use the more "ghetto" terms that many find insulting. I do make an effort to be a decent human being and I see no benefit in being annoying or insulting just for the sake of it.

Personally, I would like to see the insulting talk gone from the boards, but that's probably not going to happen. Not going to hold my breathe anyway! People who feel it necessary to be hurtful to others really aren't worth any energy. Those who use insulting terminology knowing full well that there are those who are offended by it, is just a show of a person's character.

Just my opinion of course... and do note that I offend more than my share of people as well. I just don't mean to do it... ;)

I think the answer is in the question. Or for the next inevitable version of the question - "awesome" works!

The name should reflect the business. The business is sleazy, full of deceptions and deceit, guys paying for poontang. Not exactly respectable. I'm fine with John or Trick.

Let me get a subatomic clock that allows me to measure the miniscule amount of time I spend wondering what I'm called.

Just because we're active in this industry really doesn't mean any of us should belittle ourselves by using derogatory terms. It's okay to think better of yourself, even thought you are partaking in a (somewhat) sleazy and deceptive lifestyle.

Personally, I don't think of myself as a "hooker" or "ho", even though I don't mind those words and have used them many a time in my past. I try not to carry myself in a "sleazy" way or act in a "deceptive" or dishonest way. That might be one of the reasons I've done very well in this industry (and in life in general), even thought I really am nothing more than a gutter ho.

The problem is though, most of the women in this industry have issues with self esteem. The more the community speaks disrespectfully towards these women, the worse they feel, and the less likely they are to rise up out of the sewer that a mind can create.

So I am all for eliminating negative and disrespectful comments towards women and/or providers in general. However, as I said before I'm not going to hold my breath either.

Points well taken. I just want to point out that, while "hooker" is used frequently on this board, I don't believe it is used maliciously (most of the time). To me, hooker is the same as john - it's descriptive.

People can use "ladies" all they want, but it's interesting that the "ladies" who are advocating the use of that word do not appear to make a habit of using the corresponding word ("gentlemen") when referring to us.

I guess the word hooker doesn't have the negative connotation for me that others see in it.

These women save me from depression and loneliness on a regular basis. I don't care what word is used, but I value and respect them (the honest ones at least).

ASP and client.

Both "value neutral." Both short. Both descriptive enough to make your meaning clear. Easy.

I have openly called clients Johns, many times on this board. Please read my history of posts. I was not being mean at all, It's nothing personal, i was refuting the all the men....

This is the exact reason I refuse to become anyones prison bitch. I don't care what other people think anymore. I couldn't agree more.

I am not bothered by any of the names. (I am not ashamed)

Its does not make a difference to me.

I will still do whatever I want, say whatever I want, try to follow the rules on TOB out of respect.

Agree with ladies!

When I first entered the scene I started out as Lady/M'Lady Justina. When you read old english literature you always see the women addressed as "Lady, M'lady, Madame" regardless of their status in society. I fell in love with M'Lady de Winter at an early age. She was beautiful and deviant and addressed with full regard even to her death. I dropped the "M'Lady" tittle for a few reasons: made it easier when I launched my site, M'Lady Carter vs M'Lady Justina sounded better but I didn't think of that until later, and most didn't grasp the concept of "M'Lady". (A few actually did and still address me as such when they contact me. :D)

We are all Ladies. Some of us are little raunchier than others. LOL But that's what's awesome about this. So many different flavors with so little time!

That is just plain old not true. I don't want another big old discussion but we ladies don't refer to you guys as anything but gents or guys unless the conversation is a little more specific.

I asked many months ago if you guys would refrain from using the word hooker and the answers were really unsympathetic. It may not have negative connotation to you but it very well may to the person you are calling a hooker. A little empathy would be nice that's all I ask when it comes to this.
