Posted June 11, 2020 I think deposits are completely fine for a provider to ask for, and completely fine for we as hobbyists to chose we aren't comfortable with. I've had a couple ladies drive from one side of the state to the other for our booking, and never was a deposit required. We confirmed upfront what travel charge should be, and I guess the fact that I present myself as legitimate, meant there were no concerns for either party. There's been an ad or two where I was tempted to provide a deposit for the YL, and never pulled the trigger. Unfortunately not all guys are like this and ladies complain of coming to a city or state with all these prebookings (with no deposits) then the majority cancel and now not only did they not make money, but now they're in the hole from the expenses of traveling. My screening and requirements work just fine for me, so no shame here. Don't mistake confidence for arrogance. No one has to give a deposit, but whether you do or don't, if you're getting ripped off or ncns you're doing it wrong. No matter how long you've been here. Do your research. I would have no problem paying a deposit for any provider on this board,, but it is never asked. Posted June 22, 2020 I am loving the deposit scenario! It relieves a huge amount of my stress for my tours, helps me to plan ahead for locations with interest, creates the comfort of knowing we are both holding ourselves accountable for the time agreed upon, alleviates the concern for carrying huge amounts of cash when touring, and allows us to focus on relaxing and having a good time. The positive for my clients is they know I will honor my agreement, and they will meet someone who has planned, is excited and not stressed for some much fun filled moments. When I am stressed, it takes its toll and I don't want my clients to see that. I want them to see me all sexed up and ready to have some fun. When I am home, I am less concerned, but when you have hundreds or a few thousand going out to transportation, hotels, food, supplies...it can take its toll. alleviating that keeps me focused on what I am there to do. I do understand some people's hesitation, but as others have said...if you do your research, you will easily know who is legit and we take great pride in creating our brand which takes a lot of work to do. We aren't going to fuck that up! Also, there are ways to send money without a paper trail, and most of us are pretty creative and I KNOW you clients can be too.
