Posted January 20, 2020 Here is a list of common errors. These homophones may be spelled correctly, but they are often the incorrect word. To this we should append: Ad, a shortened form of advertisement VS Add, a mathematical operation Why does it matter? They sound the same. But they can also illustrates a lack of education.

Both words refer to the same thing -- the gray color, or the grey colour if you happen to reside in Great Britain. Only their spelling is different. A homonym refers to words that sound alike but have different meanings.

It's a misconception that poor spelling is automatically a sign of ignorance. I've known several brilliant people who simply didn't care to check spelling on escort boards, and text messages. A thesis is a whole 'nother story...

Posted January 21, 2020 Noah Webster changed the spelling of some English words, which is why some of our words are spelled different. . So some of his dictionary is technically misspelled on purpose. Probably the Grey/Gray question. So would you want the English to call us out on this? . Probably not. If I can understand what was meant, it doesn't bother me . Yes, proper grammar should be used. The girls grammar is not the reason I am here and vice versa.
Posted January 21, 2020 I remember our HS English teacher reminding us that ‘The Birds’ is coming. Pfunk, it may be a misconception that poor spelling (or word choice) is due to a poor education. But it still presents a lackluster image, with a hint of “I don’t respect the reader enough to bother.” Alex, while I don’t usually have trouble with center/centre or color/colour, schedule/schedual frequently trips me.

Posted January 21, 2020 I appreciate you bringing this up as it ads to our knowledge. Clearly people DO mix up adds for addvertising , and ad the mathematical function. Aditionally, your post serves as an addmonition , even to addministrators, of the need give an educated appearance, or perhaps even ad aditional education,. As always, I must addmit it has been both a pleasure, and an adiction to ad to the thread. Addios and addieu for now...signed...addmiringly......Addmiral C

Posted January 22, 2020 I think the bigger tragedy is to go through life 40, 50, 60 years some of you and never figure out the proper pressure to put on the clit but that’s just me. 🤷🏽♀️ Go lighter - And that’s my PSA since we’re out here trying to educate the masses. 😉
