I went to school. I have an education. I already have a "square job". I am making $20 an hour. My "exit strategy", as you call it, is already set into place. I could walk away from this industry right now if I wanted to. If I wanted to being the key element. I choose not to exit right now. Why? Because I love what I do. With that being said, I DO think that it is very important for other girls to have a plan in place for exiting the stage. To be brutally honest, I could not imagine being in my 40s or 50s and NOT having something to fall back on after dedicating all these years of my life to this industry. But at the end of the day, as long as I am happy with who I am and what I am doing that's all that really matters. And hell...if I had some type of part time venture that brought in $1000-$1500 a week...I'd do it too. The concept of an "exit strategy" is something that entertainers in various fields face -- acting, dancing, sports, modeling. As men become more vigorous at later ages, I suspect the services of ASPs will be valued at quite advanced ages -- particularly for men who prefer someone of their own age. Ms. Destiny is probably a long way from "exiting," but she is approaching it like any other professional who thinks about retirement.
