What's with all the new blood?

Just as in culture itself, there seems to be a passing of the baton here at The Other Board. New blood is taking/has taken over, the results of which remain to be seen. Personally, some of the 411s these days seem like the blind leading the blind. Back in the day (a few years ago), such threads weren't as common as they seem today. Last night, for example, 10 of the top 12 threads on the Colorado board were 411s on Backpage ads.

And who does the 411 thing anyway? It's generally younger "hobbyists," although not necessarily chronological. Those new to the game, regardless of how old they are, tend to want this kind of help. Old-timers have learned their lessons and tend to know how to separate the wheat from the chaff. I mean who uses Backpage anyway? No thanks. There's plenty of talent to be found in the safer fields of P411, TER, and right here at TOB. Maybe it's the lure of the bargain or a gunbelt notched with new blood conquests. Who knows?

So good luck to all you new guys. Just keep it down a little. I'm an old fart, and there's a thin line between trolling TOB and hollering for the kids to get off my lawn.

I've been posting here(on various iterations) for 8-9 years, the board is cyclical that way. Sometimes it's Romper Room, sometimes The Algonquin Roundtable(ok, that might be stretching it a bit).

Just curious, but what difference does it make?

The intended purpose of the board is the exchange of information. Sure there are some who haven't learned the basics yet, and there are others who are graciously willing to help them. Which brings me back to my question. Seriously, if you have no information, just move on to the next thread; there is no need to belittle the new posters. Remember, when they finally have it figured out, the knowledge base grows.

But then again, if you just want to post like a bully and a prick...

As MrReindeer said, always new guys getting their feet wet. Bet there are plenty of threads from the White Knight crowd from their starts re: TGTBT 411s.

That said, maybe a good thing to bust some chops, a bit, re: not thinking this through. Teach them to fish... Gonna bust chops, do it a semi-helpful manner: "did you Google the number", "did you run the photos through Google image search & tineye".

Let's not oversimplify this. There are elite providers who use backpage at times. Albeit, they never show their face or mention their name, they are real and in high demand. I met a TGTBT girl who visited using only Backpage. I spent as much time with her as I could. I gave have her a fantastic review and a couple others gave her averages.

She no longer visits because she is now pulling in $1000+/hr in Southern California. I shit you not. And she is just as hot as she was when she was here. Oh man I was thinking I was TOFTT, but really I totally lucked out and developed a very nice friendship with the elite among the elite on the west coast and her sweet sweet kitten (average? pffft). If you read my review and follow the trail to her current website and pictures, you would've said no way TGTBT. And you would be dead wrong.

There are always occasional gems on backpage. Sometimes, they are the local elites in a business downturn. It isn't uncommon to read: "yeah, she's real, and she's amazing." Why are people whining about people asking 411 questions? Sometimes you can't know. No one ever said search engines are perfect or that there is high turnover of women who enter and exit the industry.

For example, amazing nymphos suddenly become escorts and advertise...all over the world....they can not all be too good to be true, even in little Colorado.

Look on the bright side. Some of the newbs (present company included) will make some rookie errors but some of them are going out there and TOFTT and helping sort some providers that exist in the nether world of BP. So take the good with the bad.

Well hell...I've been around so long you all seem like newbies to me. Every year it seems as though there are fewer of us that were there at the start of TOB. They come and they go both ladies and clients but even though the actors constantly change the same play on the TOB stage goes on.

I've never been adverse to TOFTT and for a few years now I've read the 411 requests as another form of searching. Just point me in the direction of a sexy lady and I'll decide for myself if she's worth seeing. It's amazing how much info a simple phone call provides or how many guys that don't have the huevos to simply pick up the phone.

It's not so much that they want us to do their investigative work for them as they're asking for a form of permission or guarantee of safety, but life doesn't work that way. They don't need my permission and I can't guarantee anything for them even if it is a lady I know well. Life is for learning lessons but they can only be learned by living. So just do it.

The BP is certainly better than the newspaper ads us old timers cut our teeth on so all you young whipper snappers just need to buckle down and quit living vicariously through your elders.

I dunno. This era of interwebs hooker trolling has made some things easier. But judging from the 411s and disappointing session reviews, the old days might have been better/easier. For example: you want a blond with big tits, certain height/weight/age, generally got a girl matching that description. No expectations of girl looking like the pictures. Now, what with pictures, porn looks expectations...

Sure, online reviews are a big plus these days, but if girl was in the ball park of what you were looking for and was a good provider...
