One of the best sitcoms in the history of TV (Cheers), followed by Night Court (hilarious) , then HSB. IMHO, Hill Street Blues was by far the best drama to ever come along ... at least up to that time. Another interesting bit of trivia ... for the pilot testing, Bobby Hill and Andy Renko were gunned down and allegedly killed at the end of the episode. Because they were the two strongest testing characters in the pilot, it was recommended that they return for the series. Can't imagine that show without those characters. Oh, and yes.
