Posted April 2, 2015 Just because there is a review on TOSluts, does not mean TGTBT necessarily. Just means do not use that site for reviews or determining if provider is legit. What one wants to do is Google Image search and TinEye all photos in the ad. And if there are "more ads by" links in the ad, image search all the photos in those links, if see a different one. And if you turn up different numbers, you repeat the process there. And you bring up the cached versions of the ads on your Google hits, not just skim over the search results ("Fifi" this week in the ad might have been "Bambi" earlier in same ad, and way different looking [pimp/scammer reusing ads]). Also as part of the cached ads, search Google for all the ad id numbers found at bottom of the Backpage ads. And look at the cached versions turned up there. For example, if looking at Denver BP, you would do the following type,of Google search: denver backpage 12345678 At times, the scams are not found quick and easy. Sometimes, takes many searches, digging real deep, before you come up with something. And after all that, still really isn't an all-clear. Photos can still be stolen. Still can be scammer. Better odds if find a review from legit site, but even then, the review can be fake as well (eg. For EVERY Backpage ad, when you search on the phone number, you can find links to "secondary" sites (other than Backpage) that post copies of the ad with a phrase like "I'm well reviewed on AFF" or "My friends and I are on AFF sooo you can find us all on there" - including a working link to the AFF (adult friendfinder) website - tacked on to the end. We can assume that the "secondary" site does this - posts a copy of every BP ad and tacks on a phrase like "I'm well reviewed on AFF" with (important) a working link to the AFF website - because AFF pays them a commission to do this.
