Or you could apply Occam's razor and use the simplest explanation instead of coming up with a convoluted situation where you're questiong someone's gender. You've said you're worried that, as a Japanese provider, she will have a language barrier. Reading the ad it's clear she (or whomever wrote it), isn't a native speaker.
