End of an Era

I'm sad today.  Playboy is about to publish it's last issue.

As a teenage boy growing up in the 60's, the magazine provided many hours of reading material :D:D and of course fantasies.

Playboy was forbidden fruit and we all did everything we could to get our hands on an issue.

Had a complete collection which I read for the editorials and literary articles. Also a membership in the clubs for the great food

In the 50s & 60s Playboy was as hard core as a major publication could get.  It was behind the counter.  The along came Larry Flynt, leading the challenge  with Hustler. Followed by Internet VHS and Internet porn.  Today Playboy is too soft-core for the porn industry, and still too scandalous for main stream.  A modern example of buggy whips.

Oh Gawd - the forums they published fueled more of my teenage fantasies than damn near any other publication on earth...

I just couldn't believe the luck of all those guys they wrote about...

I had the experience of going to the Playboy club in Chicago in the early 70's. Knew a guy that had the key. Lots of beautiful bunnies!! No views like the magazine. But I still have an autographed centerfold of one of the clubs Playmate of the month.

basically magazine is suspended due to the Coronavirus. The magazine, which has been around since 1953, has seen many of the issues raised by the virus to continue printing. Expect more magazines to follow in Playboy's footsteps.

Sad, sad, sad!

This magazine was my fantasy come to life, as a teenage boy. I "borrowed" them from my dad, and older brothers, to feed my need to self-love.

I stopped my subscription about 30 years ago, once I could get porn, and see escorts.

Sad!

Yeah, the forums were good reading. Here's a link to some of the ones that didn't make the cut.
