New to the Hobby, Looking for Advice. (From hobbyists and ASPs.)

18 posts in this topic

Hello,

I'm very new to all of this. I've spent the better part of a year deciding on whether or not to actually do this and I've finally made up my mind. Now, I understand that because it's my first time with an ASP I will be asked to provide some personal information so she can verify I am who I say I am, but in all my research I can't find any hints as to what that info might be. So I've come to TOB seeking answers about verification for first timers, mainly just an example of what type of info I may be asked to provide up front prior to scheduling an appointment.

I've already selected a few trustworthy, well-reviewed ASPs to contact but before I do I want to be fully prepared. All of the providers I've selected seem to be OK with seeing rookies but their websites only mention "special screening" with no clues as to what type of info must be provided. I've been very careful in selecting who is on my short list of possible first meetings (they are all well-reviewed, well-respected members of the "community" I guess you could say) so after my initial appointment I plan on just building a list of references from there. But that very first time and what info may be required is still a mystery to me.

Some ASP websites hint that work info may be required for screening and I don't feel too comfortable with giving that out so I hope you ladies offer options...

Also, I'm curious to know at what point in the appointment making process is it OK to discuss details and specifics? In my research, some providers explicitly state on their various sites not to mention any services prior to meeting face-to-face and some don't mention anything at all about whether discussing details is OK or not. I assume that after I'm verified I can freely discuss every thing but that may not be the case and I don't want to blow it with my first choice over making a stupid rookie mistake when attempting to set up contact with an ASP. Is there some sort of coded question I can ask her that basically says, "Is it OK to talk about sex now?" without saying exactly that?

Being able to at least mention certain things prior to meeting face-to-face would be extremely helpful for me because I have special circumstances that I wouldn't feel comfortable mentioning right before we're about to do the deed as I feel it would be unfair for her. I want my first time with an ASP to be special, obviously, and I want to provide her with as much time as needed to prepare.

Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated from either ASPs or experienced hobbyists.

Thanks!

Screening is a personal thing, and a lot of the ladies use different techniques, and will not be comfortable discussing them in an open forum.

I would prioritize your list based on who you want to see the most. Just contact her by her preferred method, and explain your situation (newbie....no references). Be polite. If she asks for things you are comfortable with, provide them. If not, thank her nicely....politely inform her of your concern, tell her good bye and move on to the next lady on your list.

It's not rocket science. It's making the lady feel comfortable.

Alternative:

Contact P411. They are based in Canada where prostitution is legal. They will screen you....and this usually IS by employment verification......and add you to their screened clients list. You can slowly build references that way through their OK process.

There ARE ladies out there that don't screen very hard. You can find them after searching, and use them for references. They're pretty easy targets for the cops to bust.

Just a reminder.

P411 is the best way to go. Once and forever more you are screened. A bit pricey but you can also build a profile of likes and dislikes. Once you have sent a request for an appointment the provider can review your profile and of course you can review hers too. You will find it very helpful.

I'm not trying to steer the conversation away from the op's topic here, but since P411 is being mentioned, I wanted to ask a question about it that I've been pondering for quite some time...

I hear people (providers and clients alike) constantly singing the praises of P411, but I personally would be EXTREMELY reluctant to sign up. Not only is it a bit pricey, but you're basically putting yourself out there with a profile (not to mention sensitive billing information that is directly connected to an illegal activity) but you're basically broadcasting for all to see that you openly and willfully participate in that illegal activity. So, my question... is it really safe? Now, I'm well aware that nothing in cyberspace is ever or will ever be completely safe. But for those who need to maintain a certain level of discretion and anonymity, is P411 REALLY the way to go? Maybe I'm not knowledgeable enough about it and don't know all the facts/details, but P411 seems like it could and would potentially be very problematic.

I mean, it would be like a crackhead or meth addict joining a (paid membership) site in which they can correspond with drug dealers, arrange meetups with said dealers and rate/review the "products" they pay for.

Just seems like trouble to me... IMHO.

You're over thinking this. I have never discussed sexual activities prior to a session. I narrow things down on reviews and other info to someone I'm interested in speaking to. A brief conversation about a session, a mutual fantasy, mutual screening if you will, and if we connect, then meet and have fun.

Hello,

So I've come to TOB seeking answers about verification for first timers, mainly just an example of what type of info I may be asked to provide up front prior to scheduling an appointment.

The ladies usually have different ways of verifying newbies, usually the first is references. This is really tough when you are a newbie with no references.

I've already selected a few trustworthy, well-reviewed ASPs to contact but before I do I want to be fully prepared. All of the providers I've selected seem to be OK with seeing rookies but their websites only mention "special screening" with no clues as to what type of info must be provided. Some ASP websites hint that work info may be required for screening and I don't feel too comfortable with giving that out so I hope you ladies offer options...

If you are not comfortable giving out personal info move on, when I first started out was never asked where I worked. Normally usually after getting to know the lady that question is asked for me anyway.

Also, I'm curious to know at what point in the appointment making process is it OK to discuss details and specifics? In my research, some providers explicitly state on their various sites not to mention any services prior to meeting face-to-face and some don't mention anything at all about whether discussing details is OK or not. IMO mentioning anything about details when contacting a provider being a newbie is going to cause alot of problem in most cases. Relax be yourself there are alot of ladies out there that can get a real good feel from you just by the way you carry yourself when you are trying to set something up. Hobby well and prosper. :D

Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated from either ASPs or experienced hobbyists.

Thanks!

What works best for me is when I call an escort I haven't seen before, when she says "hello" I reply back "yeah, I'm looking for bareback anal and FYI I never pull out". That usually gets the panties hitting the floor and them hungry for you.

Really? That's great because I was planning on showing up to her in call location with a big black strap-on hanging out of my ass by just the tip. Just when she opened the door I was going to spin around so she can see the dildo in all it's juicy glory while I rotate my hips in such a way that the dildo begins to spin around. (Think "meat spin" but with a giant rubber penis and leather straps.) I would then scream "Help me, mommy. It's falling out!" while sobbing like a baby and throwing money at her. :)

Generally speaking, they'll either want to call a central switchboard and be transferred to your extension (they'll play the role of a assistant at a dental / doctor's office) or hear your voice mail greeting.

That's actually what I kind of assumed would happen if it came down to me giving up the work info.

Hollleeeeeshiit! I recognize that name and avatar. I've been a lurker on this board for quite some time and a few others that you frequent. Can I just say your most recent review (the one with multiple ASPs) was really great, sounds like you had an amazing time. In a strange way, reading it finally pushed me over that fence I was sitting on for a awhile. Can you be my guru or something? You be Mr. Miyagi, I'm Danial-san lol. :D

That was actually my plan to begin with but once I saw the cost and the option of a "free" trial, I decided to wait awhile and go for the trial option once I have a few provider references.

If you took the time that you spent writing that message and applied it to searching the forum on a few well chosen key words, you'd have all the information you need and time left over.

In particular, screening has been covered literally dozens of times.

I'll advise the same thing that any experienced hobbiest would tell you -- research, research, research. Information is your friend. Research doesn't mean asking people to spoon-feed you information that's already here. Do some work for yourself and you'll be armed with everything you need for success in this venture.

Goggles, you act like getting a P411 is like applying for a mortgage. I got it with my cash-purchase Trackphone and paid for it with a money order purchased with cash at the grocery store. I don't recall the information they asked for, but it couldn't have been much because I never give out information. It works great to get started. Once you have a few favorites, you can let it drop. I am not sure in what world a hundred bucks a year is considered pricey, but I don't think it was a bad investment. It got me in the door with a few goddeses, and I think that is money well spent.

Agree to disagree...

Considering that I'm not an avid "hobbyist" and only occasionally see a provider here and there, the cost could be only $50 a year and the expense still wouldn't be warranted for me (my understanding was that the cost is more than $100 a year). Given muckleskeplin's earlier reply on this thread, I'm not the only one who considers the cost to be "a bit pricey", but that's neither here nor there. Besides, I do just fine and dandy seeing the girls I want to see without having a P411. I've never been turned away by a provider because I didn't have an account. With that being said, I think I'll continue my pursuits sans P411.

P411... the "extended warranty" of the escort world.

Bottom line is that you will HAVE to, for the most part, tell a well reviewed lady your real name. And yes, that is a highly controversial statement on this board because there are plenty of gents who will NEVER reveal their name. There are plenty of ladies who do NOT require that you give your name. I understand that, but I don't want to see a lady who cares so little about her screening. That's just me.

98% of the ladies have no interest in ruining your life. They merely want your money. I gave my real name twice to well reviewed ladies, and had no problems whatsoever.

The veterans here will all tell you: There is some risk in this endeavor -- minimal but it's there. If you are not willing to accept the risk, try stamp collecting.

Since you are new, your best choices is to either get approved through P411 which will start the process in you building up a repertoire, seeing a lady that isn't so keen on major screening, or calling one you are very interested in and hoping you will fit her screening criteria.

Something to do that will help alleviate some nervousness and eliminate the need for you to ask uncomfortable questions is reading reviews to get a feel of a provider. A lot of the ladies' reviews are consistent, and tend to give a good idea of what she is about. There are some review sites that are more detailed than others, and are a great way to save you the misery of playing the guessing game.

Sorry if us ladies are not going to divulge screening techniques, it infringes on our safety and it is a basis for us to make sure that we are being safe, and visiting the right clients that match our criteria. This type of business is quite different from what you are used to, but once you get the hang of it - it should be smooth sailing for you.

Good luck and be safe dear!

xoxo,

S3(Sultry Samantha Sheppard)

In the past, there was a lifetime membership for the same cost as about 3 years. I don't see it listed now.

Yep. Kicking myself now for not investing in that.
