Perusing the TOB candy shop, Hobbit followed a delectable treat from one of many stellar reviews to their profile to their website to their "Screening and Validation" link. Deflated to see it included a picture ID (redacted address ok!), and/or LinkedIn profile with 150+ connections, no less, and/or other ways to "only ensure their security and ours", make it off the to-do list, in the local news, whatever, Hobbit was reminded of a face recognition service him came across sometime ago named http://wwwPimeyes.com.

Like http://www.Tineye.com but, able to match the face to a name, to an address, to who knows what else, IMHO, it's much, much worserer 🙃. Curious how accurate it might be, their Home page makes it easy enough to simply upload a pic and find out for yourself. I mean, it even has a "Don't worry, it won't be stored", assurance! What could possibly go wrong?

With no way in hell they'd get his Hobbit thought, if not him, who? If not now, when? Picking a random photo with about a dozen faces in it of folk Hobbit don't know off of social media, the service "recognized" four and required Hobbit pick one. THEN, the TOR browser him uses popped a cross-script warning that included the source website embedded in random, five-page long security scripting with four radio button options: block this request, block all requests, allow this request, allow all requests. At this point Hobbit closed it down.

Of course, with our mugs being recorded everywhere from the mall to the airport, plate recognition software in traffic (LE) cams...face recognition i.e., mass surveillance is nothing new. Which begs the question, especially for those of us in relationships and/or reputations and/or licenses to protect, lose, whatever...really?

I think the point is the OP is warning against sending a photo ID to a ASP when screening.  Because there is facial recognition software out there that can be used to obtain all of your information.  I personally never had a provider ask for ID, but I have had a couple ask for me to send a picture of myself.  I was not comfortable with that so I ended up not booking with them.

P411, and such, which I won't do because digital trail are one thing but, and this is not to minimize its dangers in any way, providers spreading the hobby's risks with photo ID is like requiring customers pay my litigious business' insurance premiums, or a firefighter hands me the axe with, "YOU make sure the kitty's safe!", or the cop slipping you their badge like, "here, go catch your damned self!." Not just that but, social media, employment, and other, RW verification! Fucking nuts! Pun intended. I’m cautious where I play and am not high volume. Highly speculative since we've never met 😭  as I said before, you are a lady. And, no sand castle princess in here side railing discussions with childishness, you just breeze up in here, provide meaningful input, and out. The essence of woman.

This said, this post isn't to suggest what providers should or should not do in their business practice. Instead, it's to let the hobbyists who, thinking with their teeny-tiny heads and a pocketful or two of Benjamins may not know, they are a redacted ID away from the risk few activities carry, a knock at their door by Officer Vice Friendly. Do you recall that temptress Akira, the tantra practitioner busted for alleged prostitution in the Springs not too long ago? Well, guess what they did with the little black book they found! YUP! HATE it when that happens! So, and even though some of your associates are indeed, very reckless, and some vindictive, it isn't about any individual's recklessness but the layers and layers of risk there are in THIS fun activity which, unlike slot car racing, can be found illegal. Also, some of the most fun can be had from ladies that don't or hardly screen, at all. I plead the fifth. And, unlike some in our midst, the alternative for me never includes loneliness so don't get it twisted.

A few observations relative to the OP and the original post and ensuing posts.

So I take it you are suggesting also that the ladies never ever post ads with any portion of their face showing so as not to fall victim to this nefarious facial recognition software also, or is it just guys that should avoid sharing facial details? Perhaps OP could clarify his position on this.

References are only as good as the one giving them and may reflect one visit and one visit only.  Violent psychos have been known to have references, including right here in River City.  Ladies have been known to be afraid NOT to give references to the truly dangerous psychos.  Something about self preservation.

Because of the frequency and severity of escorts being assaulted, beaten, robbed, stalked and sometimes killed the state legislature approved the safe reporting law so that escorts can report these felony crimes committed by the all too common bad actors.  BUT the only way that works is if the lady has REAL identification.  Reporting a bad actor with only his TOB handle (or any other site that does NOT verify male members with real ID info) will go nowhere and is not actionable by LE.  For some mysterious reason there is no safe reporting law for johns - perhaps because the dangers are not remotely similar?

If you fear a wife finding out you are cheating on her and the resulting drama, perhaps you should not be cheating on her.  Just a thought.  Reputation - what afraid to admit you see escorts? Perhaps you shouldn't do things you are ashamed of.  Lose a license?  What kind?  Yes, I am quite aware one COULD lose a professional license (seriously doubt OP has one) for any felony conviction,  but seeing an escort is not a felony.

In the interest of more productive threads and better participation could OP PLEASE refrain from attempting to be witty and glib because he is neither and it just makes reading his posts EXTREMELY difficult to decipher.

It’s a well known fact that Hobbit thinks he has more to lose than anybody and won’t do screening and thinks that anybody who does screen is stupid.

There is no other way for me to try and explain this. We have all made the rounds with him  @Hobby Hobbit and he still doesn’t quite get it. I honestly think now it’s a choice not to get it. If I gather information from you (Screen) I am not gonna hurt you publicly with it or use it against you blackmail you or anything of that nature. it’s only for my safety as any other lady  who does this this line of work or something similar. My aesthetician sees men, but only if they come with a woman at least for the first time or until she  gets to know them better.  It is scary for women to be alone with a man especially if you don’t know much about them.

My aesthetician is touches genitals. She does waxing.  It is kind of scary not knowing if a man is going to turn on her and think it’s in a sexual experience when really, it’s just to wax the hair off of genitals.
