What is the difference between a self-review and using fake pictures?

Not to derail, but if you open the door and see a totally different person, what do you do?

I typically go, 'Your not the person I'm looking for,' and promptly do a 180 and get out of there...

Do you see ladies that don't show face pics? What if the ad/website etc, did not show face pics, and when you arrived the lady had an extremely unattractive face? How would you handle that? I've been wondering about that for awhile.

Let's be honest here. The problem isn't the fake pic; it's that the fake pic usually looks a ton better than the "original".

I mean, if Scarlett Johannson were a hooker, advertising her services with fake pics, I doubt anyone would be complaining.

For the TLDR crowd: Pictures aren’t as important as reviews.

As one of the fossils around here, i.e. someone who started in the Cro-Magnon age of text ads printed in a newspaper or in a phone book, I have a slightly different perspective from the savvy pups expecting the holographic images in advertisements to be exact replicas of the YL in question. We honed our screening skills w/o the benefit of images. Many of us did not have a consistent review system either because we hid our association with escorts. Occasionally after an overnight pass, we might commiserate with our mess mates about our experiences (“I got the best massage at SuLings’s.” “Stay away from Frau Yaeger’s place.”), but for the most part we were in our own little bubble.

Along comes the Internet [ Thank you, Al Gore ] with news groups and boards devoted to the hobby. At first they merely provide a new advertising venue (still text), but then the guys start to chat with each other, exchange information like those mess mates sitting around their Monday morning coffee. We could do so behind pseudonyms and keyboards; not fearing the ostracization of society. Review systems were born and began to become a part of the selection process. Reviews were after all the experiences of your drinking buddies, right?

Soon the ads began displaying photos. Sometimes they were stock photos, sometimes they were ‘stolen’ from other websites, and sometimes they were legitimate photos of the YL herself. Reviews question, “Are the photos are accurate?” But how do we really know? (I usually give the YL the benefit of doubt on this: face matches=Y, tats match=Y, headless figure matches=Y, artistic posing and/or clothing hiding flaws=Y)

So for me, false pictures which accurately portray the advertising YL, are OK. The pictures are likely not my reason for selecting her anyway. Yes, there is the issue of theft, but they do not misrepresent the YL.

On the other hand, false reviews are akin to putting on a mask and sitting down at that Monday morning roundtable to misrepresent a buddy’s experience. This could lead to bad (dangerous?) experiences, short changing someone w/in our community.

Yes, I see ladies that don't show their face. I dont mind that, im more about the body. If shes what I like (PAWG, big tits) then it is ok. But the body needs to match the pictures.

False pictures never accurately represents the person that opens the door, hell real pictures seldom represents the person that opens the door. A self review is no worse than a inaccurate review by a legitimate john which is quite common here. For me inaccurate pictures are worse than inaccurate reviews since I don't trust reviews written by most of the johns here anyway. Why would anyone see a hooker that they do not find attractive just because they have great reviews?

Perhaps because "attractive" has so many levels. Jolee has a great body, but her face isn't really to my tastes. Besides I'm more interested in a YL's service & skills than her looks. I'm not talking about 2-baggers here, just average looking gals.

I'm there, she's there, it took work and scheduling and other hassles to get there, I go for it. It may turn out that she is awesome, even though her face may not be all that attractive. A girl being "into it" makes up for a lot, as many people here well know . . .
