Same Ninababy?

24 posts in this topic

Maybe it is actually an honest mistake.

All due respect Destiny, but the ad refers to this board to lend credibility, uses a specific provider name (last I knew there could be no duplicates) and uses stolen pics. Don't think anything about it passed within a light year of "honest." Not that I am shocked by dishonesty in this "hobby" () but show a little respect (not directed at you).

One of the things many ladies have always known about Backpage is that they are famous for throwing up really old ads randomly. They do it with the intent to give you something randomly for free, but that has backfired many times. Lots of deceased and retired providers have been posted like that for many years. During the times of CL, you would see it pretty often...almost daily.

I knew of this girl, but I don't know her old contact info, so I don't know if that is one of her old ads or stolen photos by someone else. My guess is that it is one of her old ads and BP threw it up there without knowing.

If stolen, as sad as it really is, they cannot keep up with every girls pics across the country to know which are stolen. I'm sorry this reminder is a sad one. If you contact them and let them know, they will take it down.

Oh shit! I totally missed that part. After you pointed that out, I had to go back and read the ad twice to see it. I agree with you, that is so fucking low it's unbelievable!

I would imagine since you posted this, that ad will be gone by the end of the day. Chances are she will get harassed now. Which, honestly, somebody needs to call her on that bullshit right there because that is not right.

Still trying to give the provider the benefit of the doubt; maybe somebody else posted the ad (fucking scumbag!) And the provider does not even know about it.

No matter how you cut and paste it, it's totally fucked up!

OK maybe I wasn't clear enough in my complaint. Yes, the phone number in the ad and the stolen pics of some non-provider lifted from usual internet sources are all work of typical garden variety BP scammer. I expect that. My issue is the "I'm back" and claiming to be a reputable provider by specific reference to her "working name" and tob where there are several reviews (last i checked) when it CAN'T BE HER BECAUSE SHE IS DEAD. Add to that the fact that the lady in question was as I said a true sweetheart (r.i.p. sweet lady) and ..... well back to question .... does it get any lower? Hope anyone that might be deceived sees this and the perpetrator of the ad does not profit from being pond scum. And yes geecue the same lady you refer to, but i believe Destiny was referring to the provider you would (maybe) see if you responded to this ad.

that girl has been posting as NINABaby for at least a year. Those pix belong to some internet model. maybe somebody brought it to her attention that there was a girl by that name she discovered she had a good reputation on TOB and decided to go with it? Who knows but it is f***** up

Considering all of the recent stings, and knowing Nina Baby was killed last year.

I would assume right away without doing research...

1. Its either scammer

2. PIMP

3. Law Enforcement pretending to be this young lady, and using her old reviews. (if they still exist.)

So whom ever had posted the Ad has access to this year or older

What he said.

Plus, the photos in the current ad aren't of THE Ninababy. Current ad contains stolen photos used all over the country.

So, I'm going with the pimp scammer angle.

The scammer was using the name "Nina Baby" as early as Jan 2012, according to this old thread. See in particular the post by Nusa that lists some of her (their?) other names / phone numbers / pictures.

http://www.theotherboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27334

http://www.theotherboard.com/forums/showpost.php?p=284075&postcount=2

The first ad I could find where the scammer specifically claimed to be "Tob Ninababy" was placed July 14, 2013:

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:CzG4kIF4JUIJ:coloradosprings.backpage.com/FemaleEscorts/l-e-t-s-_-a-k-e-_-a-g-i-c-21/3583870+&cd=15&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us

... and still another (minor) reason to be annoyed at this ad: the title "Let's Make Magic", including the fancy lettering, was stolen from previous ads by a legitimate provider, Tiny Tiffany of Colorado Springs, who has reviews here.

I am not even minorly annoyed due to...

As stated earlier, not even the original photos.

Average BP user would have no idea who Nina was. Or what TOB is.

And if they do get to the reviews, first, body type don't match. Second, and biggest thing, if 21 today (per ad), that review from 2009 makes no sense.

This stuff happens. If you fall for this BP scam, you deserve whatever happens.

Worse, as someone else in the thread said, is when BP reposts real ads from beyond.

I think you're missing the point of why this rates a discussion thread. Of course anyone who is familiar with our review board, or has any research skills at checking escort ads, will quickly realize that the current "tob Ninababy" on BP is not the same as the original. But it's still gross, and also unusual, that the current BP advertiser is in effect committing identity theft against a dead person by taking the name "tob Ninababy". Incompetence of the scammer doesn't excuse their bad intent.

Also, you wrote, "Average BP user would have no idea ... what TOB is." That raises the question: why would anyone make a fake claim to be "TOB reviewed" if the claim has no meaning to the average BP user? I believe "TOB reviewed", and also "TER reviewed", do have some credibility among average BP users. A BP scammer who makes a false review claim is probably counting on users who are dialing a lot of numbers to get a quick appointment, "thinking with the little head", and not carefully checking each ad they respond to.

I agree with you but we hear from providers on this forum day in and day out the TOB guys make up only 0.000000000001% of the local hobby community. why would providers tell us this if it's not true?

Bingo!

Didn't want to get more into what I posted at the time, but, basically, similar thoughts.
