I'm sure when you're visiting a different state...you like to endulge a litte:rolleyes:

And I'm frickin appauled that you left Jimmy John's off your list...#10 with extra meat??? :P

Wendy's

Anthony's Pizza

Chipolte

Subway

Olive Garden

I ain't gonna lie. I choose food for how it tastes, what it costs, and how it fills my belly. I'm not going to the Chop House, or McCormick's, daily.

All of my favorites started as small local shops, and grew into regional, or national, chains.

There is a reason they are successful! :)

In downtown, I like Capital Grille and Panzano's. Denver Tech Center has Del Frisco's, which is really delicious and I also like Jing and Happa. Cherry Creek has a restaurant called True Food that's really good and in Highlands, I like Lola and Gaetano's.

There's also a really good Italian place over by DIA called Di Ciccio's. They play Italian opera on an entire two story wall. The restaurant itself is huge, but there's never more than a few diners there. They have the best portabella mushroom ravioli in marsala wine sauce. It is so delicious and their coffee is also pretty remarkable.

lots of great responses here on this post! again way too many choice places to list for denver.

but i must say jia, dayum you nailed some really great spots! like your style gurl!!

Maggiano's for Italian and Pappadeaux's for Cajun/seafood.

Try no-nos for cajun. it's off Sante fe and C470.

Not previously mentoned:

Elway's (partial to Cherry Creek vs Ritz)

Rioja

Euclid Hall

Mizuna

Luca D'Italia

Colt & Gray

Kitchen (Denver or Boulder locations)

Snooze (for breakfast)

D-Bar Desserts

Sweet Action Ice Cream

Wynkoop Brewery

Wazee Supper Club

And if you want to get to Boulder:

Frasca

Oak at 14th

Kitchen (main room or Upstairs)

Basta Pizzeria

Locale Pizzeria

Black Cat

Boxcar Coffee (mad scientist meets coffee brewing)

And tons of other lesser known places (Denver metro is a sneaky good food town).

Good place to get some info: http://www.westword.com/restaurants/

DBar uses Betty Crocker brand Gold Medal Flour boxed cake mix, powdered mix with water and refrigerate creme brulee, bottled caramel and various sauces, packaged tart shells, canned fruit, etc. AVOID AVOID AVOID They are frauds!!!

I would recommend Crave in Downtown Denver over that place.

A great pit stop and rest is Genghis grill, it opened up about a year ago in DTC. You load everything in a bowl, they cook it up right in front of you. Amazing food, nice selection, easy and affordable, next to DTC if you're in that area.

Don't be rude! There's really no need for that. I didn't realize exactly how this forum works and was just wanting some input from people who live in the city! There's such strict guidelines I didn't want to get in trouble if I said something inappropriate. So don't read or respond if ur not interested and move on the stuff that talks about pussy then... Nobody said u had to read or care about my thread!

And to everyone else who was nice enough to give me your suggestions: THANK YOU, your the type of gentlemen I was hoping would be in this nice city!

Oh my, how did I forget Cinzetti's. All you can eat Italian, great ambiance, 150 different items to choose from and like 20 different deserts.

I have to stay away from that place.....I gain 5 lbs. just driving by it :P.
