When should providers start?

19 posts in this topic

As a counter to 2Big's provider retirement thread I'd like to counter with, "What age is too young to be a quality provider?" Obviously there are legal limits, that's not what I'm talking about. Also obviously, there are exceptions to the general meme, but I can name on a single thumb the under-21 YL I have felt provided quality service. I also realize that a client's age will factor into their choice.

I'm not versed in posting polls, so let's leave this to open discussion.

At what minimum age of provider do you expect a quality session?

WHY?

25 at the youngest, I'd say 30 is better. More experience, less self doubt, more stable, responsible and mindful.

I've met a couple of 19 year olds who seemed to be mature enough. Maturity is the key, and, IMHO, there is no age bracket that can be excluded for immaturity, or included for maturity. :)

I'm 25 now and began in the adult business when I was 20. I wasn't an escort until I was 23, but dabbled in other things.

Even though I'm happy with my situation and most of the decisions I've made there have definitely been times when I didn't feel that I had the emotional capacity to deal with circumstances that made me uncomfortable in the past.

I also wish I had given myself a bit more time to experience "real life" and "real work." I'm incredibly spoiled financially and honestly don't know the value of a dollar. It probably would have done me a lot of good to have a regular job and make regular money in my 20's, but c'est la vie I suppose.

I feel that at 25.5 I have a better grip on things, including my ability to do my best to be compassionate to others whom I have differing views than and agree that this is probably the minimum age a girl should decide to begin this type of work.

Never!!! In an ideal world every person would be involved in other professions that they enjoy and can make a decent living at.

Since we don't live in an ideal world, my leanings would tend to be say 25-30 years of age.

HOGWASH! If this is so bad, why are you here patronizing it?

I feel like I was definitely not mature enough to handle this business when I was 18. I started when I was 25. I gained a huge amount of emotional stability FROM the business.

I started when I was 25, and for me I feel it was a good age. I have found that as I get older (38 on wed) I get better at what I am doing, and how to please. Not to mention the dirty thirties have totally kicked in and I enjoy the pleasure of it all so much more.

I don't remember what I listed my age as when I began but I know how old I REALLY was. Sadly that's the truth. I've decided to "age" in reverse and when I reach "18" retire. Marching to the beat of my own drum here, folks.

Agreed, 100%. It's not the age, it's the maturity level. I still see a lady I met when she was turning 19, and I've found her much more in tune than ladies twice her age. It's all a crap shoot. As soon as a lady who's legal discovers that she really likes sex and might as well profit from it - that's a good age, whatever it might be.

You're asking the wrong question. I've screwed 19 year olds who started out with puzzies tighter than a gnat's azz, good attitude, willing to experiment, then within a couple of years they were worn out and washed up.

The question is: at what point in her career is a working girl at the peak of her performance?

I'd argue in the first 6 months to a year. After that she starts settling into a routine.

I like to get the girls when they're fresh off the boat, so to speak, no matter the age (legal of course).

I'm only 22 and I've only seen 2 providers so not that I'm qualified to answer, but I wouldn't want to see a girl under 21. But not based on their experience, more because I'm in a wheelchair and the younger girls are usually unwilling to see me anyway.:D
