You would go and see the orthodontist and by the time i left my mouth would be fitted with head gear, rubber bands, wire tightening, extracting teeth that were in the way! When they came off I had a retainer. I wore braces from 7th grade up until 11th. Far too long and I will always remember the intense pain my mouth felt!
