But sometimes it is to try to avoid a stalker or ex, lie low from someone harassing her, or just damn well tired of her name/image and wants a make over. I can't judge if the name change is intended to deceive clients and hide a reputation for prior deceptions. My previous post was a generic reply to your don't out providers remarks. Hiding deceptive practices (false photos, upsell, C&D, NCNS, etc.) behind a name change/re-invention is was I was railing against. If an ASP has a solid reputation in the community but is tired of being Trixie and wants to be known as Doxie, I'm basically fine with that.
