Sometimes when I come on here It reminds me of when my granma was alive, and she and her other old granny friends would gossip .And it would seem some members are worse then old ladies at carrying on threads that have outlived their usefulness. With that said,I am not really trying to carry it even further, but this is a good example, so please just leave it as that- a example.

In a recent thread the op asked a question, looking for advice, and the community responded. Both good and bad. The thread evolved into a bit of a train wreck. And the op seems to have backed out of it, If the op wants to take a break from posting, I can't say I would blame her. As message boards can be harsh landscape to navigate at times. And as the saying goes :the weak are killed and eaten. And its seems to me that when threads become trainwrecks-this seems to be the mantra.

I've seen ladies come and go here when it comes to posting. I would think that the guys would want the ladies to stay.

Now if anyone is offended by what I just wrote, sorry. Grow thicker proverbial skin, ok? But wouldn't it be more fun to play well together. Just saying...

I cannot really argue with what you have said as I recall going through a period when I felt like I was some sort of target. For better or worse I just hit back at times now. This doesn't mean that I enjoy it though.

From experience I know that certain types of topics will generate problems and unfortunately the thread to which you are referring is an example. There will be no shortage of dissension when the topic is whether the escort or the client is 'wrong.' It is better to find some people to whom you can send PMs. Or learn to focus on the posts that seem like what you are looking for.

As for getting the community 'on board' with some change of behavior, I think that is unlikely. After a thread has reached a certain length is become less and less likely that the OP is being addressed well. And most posters are then only reacting to the latter few posts.

I think the best bet is to have some sort of guidance given to new posters. For all I know it exists in some form.

I think you are right. The providers who work the board do so because it is another form of advertising.

From what I have read, the board, and the review system was created to help the men. Instead, the providers now use the reviews for their advertising, and post provocative ads for various services in the form of threads.

As a newcomer, this is one of the first things I noticed. The board is heavily biased in favor of the providers.

The OP's post is a complaint that we were too hard on a provider who has not yet learned how to master the art of the "threAD."

In a perfect world, it could get boring. But I remember along time ago a insane heifer that used to flame me every chance she got. It ends up making everyone who jumps into the fray look less then their intellect should. I try to stay out of the flame crap until it just gets.....stupid, or vicious.

I used our most recent train wreck as an example. Which has not necessarily turned vicious, but it has run its course and needs to be buried in the train wreck cemetery . I just have a dislike for how the peanut gallery seems to enjoy this kind of crap so much. So I have excercised that viewpoint.

I don't get my pantys all bunched up if some-one disagrees with me. But what does get me is when I see some so happily try to hurt some ones feelings.

The little people's saying about stick and stones, well I have found words can hurt far worse. Granted , thiis is a ho' board. But if I see something that I believe has run its course and has its potential for being vicious- I will eventually run my yap. Empathy serves one far better in train wrecks, and it translate well in the bedroom well also.

Though, to be fair, some of the johns here do the same thing, for different reasons.

Whether is the VIAK who gets an endorphin rush when a hooker compliments him after he takes her side in an argument, or the one who tries to seem "sophisticated" by posting a french phrase followed by "look it up" -- many of the guys seem to have one thing in common: when one no longer has two functional 'nads, one resorts to masturbating one's ego.

That's your opinion. Funny that your post has mean undertones in it, but mine was deleted for yelling. My opinion is that this is exactly what the OP is griping about. Oh, the irony! I WILL be politically correct, for the sake of getting my point across (and not being defeated.)

You can insinuate that a ladies rates are low because they were obnoxious. It's just your opinion. Does not make it true though. And even if the that WAS true, it does not deplete her worth in any way shape or form, no matter what you or anybody else may think or say.

Maybe she had low rates as a courtesy because she likes to fuck. Maybe she had low rates because somebody that she was caring for had to have a surgery which jeopardized her financially. Maybe she had low rates because the economy sucked. Maybe she had low rates because she was just trying to make it in life like the rest of us. Either way, there's no way for us to know so how about we don't come on here and make snide, rude, insinuating comments. Instead, why don't we try to love each other for a change?

Despite what you say of opinionated woman, I believe quite the opposite (which does not make me any more right than you btw). I believe that there is a wealth of men that are interested in "ladies" that have not only beauty but opinions and input too. There ARE actually men that are interested in women that have something to say, even if it's not the same as what they believe. That is why I post here.

I like feeling wanted, just like anybody else. That is why I post here. I care about and love many people that are here. This is another reason why I post here. I post here, because I would like to show my potential clientele that I am a real human being and not just a blowup doll with nice tits (even though I play one on TV). If that drives potential clients away, I am okay with that. We were not compatible in the first place. I post here because I enjoy it. It helps my business (once again, regardless of what you say). I enjoy reading what others have to say. I enjoy the hobby as a whole. I am very interested in the concepts and dynamics of this industry and the people that participate in it. That is why I post here.

I think there is a difference between, "Disagreeing and Not Listen"

Disagreeing with someone is just saying, "While I respect your answer, I don't feel the same way about the topic" having facts to back them up. Possibly having personal experiences related to the topic at hand.

Not listening is basically saying, "Nope. You are wrong, and I hate you" with nothing to back up their statements. They have only HEARD of things but not actually had any life experience of it.

I think replies could be handled better, but I'm not going to fight for people to be nicer.

Most of the topics here are either fun or interesting. The interesting ones are those that provide insight into the daily lives of everyone and I appreciate them. There's nothing wrong with wanting attention especially if your way of doing so is making intelligent comments and humor.

If we followed your logic, none of us would be engaging in any conversation and there would be no reason for mass communication.

We're a small group of people on this board, we wouldn't be happy if it died, and so we might as well make people feel free to express themselves, correct?

It's just a forum that has become less and less appealing over time. Yea, it's great for new guys and gals to learn about the hobby, but once you have been around it's not so important or useful any more.

I do have to agree though, when I read what some people post here, It helps me to know who I would love to have on my secret "wanna see list", or those that I won't ever meet no matter what. From the other side, most people eventually figure out who is real and who is wacko. It just takes some longer to figure it out. Not worth me worry about.

The person who gives that advice, knows from whence she speaks; and while I'm personally notorious for not following it, it is still extremely valid.

I've always viewed it as a zero sum game. For all those offended by a particular post, there are, more than likely, an equal number that would be more likely to book because of it. IMO, it's the almost the same as the number if women who use the board strictly for advertising vs the number who just come to "talk shop".

Finally, for those who enjoy a good sausage-fest, if you don't like what the women post, try checking out the Client Only Board; from what I hear it's testosterone city in there and the little ladies can't post anything to offend your delicate sensibilities...

Anyone reads these boards, does so for the "entertainment. Without the various opinions, heated debates, and snarky comments... there would be nothing to hold any of our interest.

The reality is that about 200 people (give or take) both to read these posts on a semi-regular basis, and only another 20 (give or take) care enough to post.

These message boards do not give a true snapshot of the community at large. No provider needs to participate on these boards to get business, the reviews are where that's at.

I love all of the characters who post on the message boards. It's a break from reality for me. It becomes a problem, imo, if you think that another person's opinion actually matters in the real world.
