Really?

• PayPal? No - they will seize your assets (just ask some of the older ASPs)
  
• Credit card? If I know & trust an ASP enough to give her that information, then I probably don't need to make a deposit
  
• Money order? Add USPS delays into the process.
  
• Green dot? Talk about a PITA funding & confirming.
  
• How about using some of the $25M in Bitcoin the Feds are going to auction off in 2K & 3K lots? (Silkroad seizure)
  

I have given deposits for special multi-escort events. It involved driving to a neutral location and surrendering a cash deposit to one of the ASPs. Something like 20-30% of the final fee. Understandable for these events as the ladies had to prep, buy food, and rent the venue.

But if this became the norm, I'd probably start looking elsewhere. Too much hassle for a simple date.

In my experience, providers who have cancellation policies run their business like a business. Which means they don't last minute cancel or no show... and if they absolutely must cancel, they handle it in a professional manner and take care of the client's inconvenience appropriately.

I find that having a cancellation policy doesn't necessarily guarantee we can collect a cancellation fee.

Of course there are no guarantees that it can be collected. But it's a great way to weed out the looky loos and time wasters, prior to needing to collect.

Legitimate, reputable clients don't want their reputations in the hobby damaged.... and if they aren't 100% sure they can make the appointment, they will not book if you have a cancellation fee. If you don't have a cancellation fee, you are effectively telling your clients that it's fine for them to cancel at the last minute, that there will be no repercussions.

I heard this rumor that the cancellations are actually on purpose some of the time, they are actually pimps that are trying to get some of the more regular girls to lose business, they book the time and that way the provider blocks that off her schedule, then they cancel, the provider loses the revenue and if she has enough of them then she might lose enough money that she might have to look into a different line of work. Also if the lady gets another call that wanted that time slot, and she is booked, then he would most likely look for another lady in the same general area, maybe the pimps girl gets the call?

just a rumor tho, but it does kind of make a bit of sense.

Rumor? No offense, but if by "rumor" you mean "dumbest fucking thing this week," then sure...

This seems like a pretty ridiculous system for a pimp to employ. It would be very hit & miss to try to block out all these times that might potentially be double booked. Then, they'd have to get past screening for the lady in the first place. AND then have these clients who can't book land with their provider?

If someone is so dumb as to try this sort of scheme, then there are probably many other reasons beyond competition as to why their "business" suffers.
