No porn or prostitution

There are legal way to change the laws. Those working outside of this process should be prosecuted as enemies of the State.

I don't know if the UK has any oath like the US does. In the US, we swear to protect the country from enemies "foreign or domestic".

No matter how hard they try they will never eradicate either since we all have primal urges to enjoy sex!

I wouldn't be so confident. I have been to Saudi. They seem to survive somehow in a very boring world without even a beer to be found. Not sure I'd have the will to go on.

I got super excited when I saw a girl's hair in a Western hotel. How pathetic is that? And she was risking a lot.

I've never understood the popularity of Islam. A christian may call you a whore and tell you you're going to hell, but a Muslim will chop your head off.

And for the record, the guy in the article looks Amish.

It's been said that the most fanatic supporters of a cause are the converts.

That Anjem Choudary is doing this is no surprise.

What will be interesting is how the government responds.

1st trip to Kuwait in 2002 I had long blond hair. I had Men trying to touch my hair. I quickly learned how to wrap my hair in a scarf. Hijab's were my safe haven.

2nd trip to Kuwait I darkened it to a dingy brown and didn't have to cover my hair as often.

Afghanistan 2012: I went back to a dingy brown and wore hijab's during Ramadan or events that put me around Men that didn't already know me.

As far as the porn goes... Everyone over there everyone has FaceBook. Any time I would walk into our office I would see the Afghans and Pakistanis always checking out photos of women who were wearing next to nothing. They are sexual beings too and will always find a way. These laws are pointless and ridiculous.

The Imans can/will do all they can to try and repress the urges but it will never go away. Even when the Men don't have access to women they use each other. The Imans view Women in the Middle East for reproduction and household tasks. Nothing else. This is a culture that is hard to grasp unless you've lived in it yourself and even then, you are still left confused and amazed at the things you have seen.

After living in the middle east (both Military & Civilian) I could write endlessly on these topics. Thankfully it's always done me well for school papers.

This is going to stir up a lot of press, and ultimately will go nowhere. One problem that many conservative immigrants to the UK have is that their kids are abandoning the more spartan life they had in Pakistan (where most of the muslim immigrants come from) for the freedoms of the West. The few who are drifting back to a more extreme form of Islam are the same kinds of people who drift into any extremism in First World countries. It?ll get the National Front types worked up, and no doubt some Republican nut-bars from the South will point to this as a reason to invade some God-forsaken hell hole or the other, but ultimately it will go nowhere.

Well, whenever you do write this up, make sure to post a link. I’d love to read it!

It's no wonder why the extremists are so angry, they aren't allowed to have any fun at all.

Right, because it's only Islam that negatively impacts our cultures and communities. There isn't ANYTHING being done today to undermine human rights or scientific progress in the name of Christian "morals".

Yeah, those pesky Baptists behead people, blow up women and children, shoot girls for going to school and stone rape victims to death all the time. If you don't understand there is a difference, well .......

I understand the difference. I also understand that violence has been committed in the name of Christianity in the very recent past (one that immediately jumps to mind is abortion clinic bombings and shootings). Further, I understand that the same Baptists you mention want to take us back several hundred years to the time when churches were in the business of influencing laws, public policies, and their definition of "morals". Same scourge, different implementation.
