...but Gina (or Oxy or Maude or Octopussy) now controls the advertising tool, the reservation tool, and the review tool for a fairly nice slice of the internet escort trade. This kind of vertical integration is a powerful business model but given that the underlying enterprise is illegal in the US....is anybody nervous? Now I'm sure Gina has sound legal counsel ( and I would not presume to offer any, at least not for free lol) but anyone who thinks the US Justice Dept can't reach across the border is kidding themselves. I mean, c'mon...Molson bought Coors, eh? Just saying...

Gina is well aware of the pitfalls of this business here or in Canada.

But it like spin the bottle, round and round you go where you stop nobody knows.

Nothing is ever 100% safe. It is a matter of how much trouble the authorities want to go through to get someone. P411 does have policies to keep out of big nasty issues. They require proof of age for younger providers keeping away from the child trafficking issues. Along as they keep doing that I am sure they are not worth bothering. When the US adopts a more aggressive policy toward the industry. I will worry. Right now I think the war on drugs and child sex trafficking is taking up all the resources.

Really for myself I think there is a greater risk of being busted by local cops because I did not screen clients then records from P411 getting an international subpoena.

Just as a side note. I think the lady must be a pretty smart cookie to put all this together and make it work.

Below is a section from an article about Canada extraditions law taken from

http://www.cbc.ca/news/background/crime/extradition.html

The 'Dual Criminality' issue

People can be extradited only if the offence they're accused or convicted of is a crime in both countries – the "dual criminality" test. If the offence is a crime in just one of the countries, no extradition can take place.

And it’s not just any offence. Extradition is meant to apply to relatively serious crimes. Under Canadian law, the threshold is specific. To qualify for extradition, Canada will not allow anyone to be extradited unless the offence involved could have resulted in a jail sentence of two years or more had it taken place in Canada. The specific crime must also be listed in the relevant treaty.

Canada will generally not allow the extradition of people charged with political offences in another country. As long as the person’s political "offence" in the requesting country was non-violent, Canada will refuse to surrender the individual. There has been some criticism of Canada’s decision to extradite those who some view as political prisoners whose prosecutions may be politically motivated.

But the Department of Justice says the role of the extradition judge is to determine if there is enough evidence presented that, if the "conduct had been carried out in Canada, the judge would order the person to stand trial in Canada." In other words, the judge cannot test the quality or reliability of the evidence – that is the job of the trial judge and/or jury.

As to my understanding, Molson bought Coors and all the DOJ did was give them the nod of approval in terms of antitrust issues. I don't see the point you're making but I do think people should mind their own business as opposed to whatever this is.

Hey Lovely, Lighten up this is still a discussion board. We are having a discussion. It may not be to your taste but who died and made you queen of telling people what to do?

I fail to see the discussion. The OP made it seem like Holder was going to boarder crash and take the mod like "Invasion of the Body Snatchers." And no one had to die to make me the queen of telling people what to do; I was born with the title:D

I never believed the "completely separate boards" cover story anyway. I doubt that many did.

I never believed the "completely separate boards" cover story anyway. I doubt that many did.

If TOB had been mine all along, things would have been done quite differently from the beginning. Try to remember, TOB was born because I closed a board (UDB) to focus on my agency, to which T.O. started up his own board (TOB) to take it's place.

T.O. ran TOB without the slightest bit of input from me for all these years... and I tried, trust me, I tried! He asked me to take over the advertising in about 2002, when it got to be too much to manage for him, and I had EP/EB built for that purpose. But other than that I had no say in what went on here with discussions and reviews. Although we were friends and respected each others opinion, our opinions about how TOB should be run were quite different.

Regardless, it really doesn't matter if anyone believes the story or not.... however, I'm many things, but I'm not a liar, so that suggestion does offend me. J.D. will not be one my Friends list anytime soon! lol ;)

Oxy

Thanks for the explanation. Not meant to offend. Yeah, I remember the advertising split in 2002. Anyway, I was talking from a technical perspective. Not influence or input. Didn't mean it that way.
