Deposits

15 posts in this topic

It seems like more and more providers are asking for deposits, which I don't have a problem with at all. As were going to give them the whole donation either way, providing them a small percentage (half or the whole donation... much different story) upfront doesn't seem like a big deal at all.

There are many providers that I would love to spend time with that are currently requiring deposits, but unfortunately for me I haven't figure out a way to do that and keep my anonymity. My question is "Is there a way to set up an account to make deposits using my hobby # and a prepaid/reloadable card?"

Any other methods to send deposits anonymously would also be greatly appreciated.

*If this is a repeat thread, I apologize and please put a link to the original thread. I usually don't look through the forum, when I'm on TOB I'm generally too distracted looking at other aspects of the site 😇

...but would/are providers willing to give out their private emails? Doesn't that kind of go against the whole anonymity we're all going for (well most of us anyways)?

I appreciate the help! and if this allows me to spend time with even just a few more providers, I'm very grateful!

You can also get a visa/MasterCard prepaid card and provide the numbers from the back. Good luck, and thank you for the understanding and support. 😘

Pretty sure you can use a fake name on a Venmo account

Probably true, but it has to be tied to a real number. I couldn't even get past the first step, which is "Enter your phone number and we'll send you a text", it won't accept an app number. And if that's the case I imagine it has to be tied to a real card (not a prepaid/reloadable one)... I know Cash app requires a real card tied to a bank (account) and that makes it difficult to keep our personal information separate from the hobby.

Thanks, that's something to keep in mind if I decide I need to get a separate hobby phone!

The transfers only show up under whatever alias you enter into any of those apps. The P2P doesn’t deposit directly into the receiver’s bank account so it’s not going to show any real info. Only the alias or e-mail you setup which can literally be anything. Cash app does not require a phone number to sign up just an email. And Cash App now allows you to do a paper money deposit. It’s an extra step but you can walk into Walgreens, give them the cash and give them your cash tag and the money will deposit into your account without the need of linking a bank or credit card. Or you can link your bank/card, do a cash in, unlink it. Then you’ve got money in your cash app account and no linking info.

I use venmo and cash app as often as possible and honestly can’t remember the last time I pulled cash. It’s just way more convenient for me but I can only speak for myself.

I have switched entirely to BTC for digital payments for anonymity and my personal safety against charge backs (happened to me twice).

Bitcoin may seem daunting at first but if you take a bit to familiarize yourself with it you'll start to see the beauty of it.

More and more escorts/providers are taking it and it will be mainstream in the next few years.

Just something to think about

Thanks for sharing all this information.  A clients perspective and experience is important on the forum because of the cash is the only king crowd.  I'm a little surprised (pleasantly) to see you haven't paid cash in awhile.  Things are definitely changing. The whole world is changing rapidly.  For better or worse. 🤷‍♀️😁

I really need to get a better handle on this.  I still feel like a dinosaur sometimes. Thanks Tara. 💙

P411 has an activity field for providers that says something akin to “alternative payment methods accepted,” so if I see that I inquire. If I see someone from TOB or really any other site I just ask if they accept venmo or cashapp or even Apple Pay which i often forget I have. But I ask if and they say yes I proceed to ask for their handle and send the donation over. I’ve personally never been burned and only had one issue of a well established TOB provider I’d seen previously make me question the decision but it worked out with no fuss.

I’ve commented about this before, but I do what’s the most convenient for me. Stopping at an ATM or getting cash back a little at a time (I don’t need to hide anything) just seems annoying and well, inconvenient. But again that’s just me.

SW in general has been in a bubble with not much change imo for a very long time.  A lot of industry friends on the client side tell me things have changed so much and they're having difficulty navigating it.  The more information from different and current perspectives and experiences the better.  Are there newer ways to get burned on the client and provider side?  Absolutely.  Can we learn to mitigate that like we have with the other ways we can get burned, yes.  There is always risk though.  This is a risky industry.  Providers and clients will both have wins, and take losses.  Our industry is evolving, and I'm happy about that. It's exciting.  Reminds me of when we moved from papers to the internet.  However everyone can connect and on whatever comfort level is good.  For the record, cash is king for me too...if a client has a perfect screening, and l'm not touring.  I love all my options!😁
