"Sign Pic"

So I don't know if anyone else does this as much as me but when I'm skeptical about the legitimacy of a provider, I request a sign pic for proof. That is, in addition to the regular research one does where nothing comes up on Google and there aren't any reviews to be found. Basically I ask her to take a picture with her holding a piece of paper with her active phone number and sometimes even the date. This has worked like a charm so far with the ones actually willing to even do it. So what I'm wondering is, although it's not completely fool proof as one can photoshop whatever they want these days, is it at least getting rid of the LE possibility? I mean they wouldn't actually waste their time and go through the trouble of taking the sign pic and sending it right? Lol

Well, it is an eight hour shift. Do they have something better to do? (yes, they do!! But that is off topic!)

I guess if it works and she is willing, OK, but you run the risk of coming across as a time wasting pic collector. There is a reason many ads say "don't ask for more pics"

And I always go and see them after they send the pic so I don't necessarily have them do it for nothing.

why would you think it would "count out being LE?" Just curious. If LE will go through the hassle of putting an ad on BP and sometimes even dressing the part to stroll down the street - snapping a pic or two doesn't seem that out of context IMO

Surprisingly, cops have cameras AND know how to write.

The truth is, nothing completely rules out someone as being LE. You can take steps to reduce the risk, but it's never 0. Even your ATF can be rolled. At some point you either accept the remaining risk, or jerk it to some porn.

Because I feel like they just go for easier prey like the guys out there that don't even bother doing their research or the ones that fall for blatantly fake ads with photos of pornstars/celebs as the girls they actually think they're going to see. I mean I just don't see them wasting their time trying to prove themselves to be legit when they have gullible guys like that out there. I also just don't see them getting a girl that looks exactly like in the pics and having her hold up a sign for a pic either but idk

lakerboy, I believe you are right. The cops go after the "low hanging fruit" most of the time. In Fort Collins, it was a bunch of guys responding to an ad that promised inexpensive sex. They also PROBABLY had inappropriate phone discussions, and were then arrested when they knocked on the door -- poor saps.

Lol poor saps indeed, but they dig their own graves. And that's exactly what I'm saying like of course you're never 100% safe from LE no matter how cautious you are but I like to think I'm doing the best I can to better my odds even more.

UmmUmm, Recently LE down here in South Florida used ACTUAL PICTURES of the undercover in their sting ad. What makes you think that the odds decrease if you get a picture as requested?  

Decoy vise will walk street, use their own pictures and will do just about anything to get you to agree to P4P by pacifying you and giving you a FALSE sense of security.

I have a question for the Lakerboy so are you willing to do the same?  I really think your reading to much into this.  If the provider does not have reviews do not see.  To gamble your freedom on a pretty smile and a sign yikes.  Just remember that this all works if we all work together.  Stay outta the hotels don't see providers without reviews and the rest is simple.

I've been asked for a sign pic and I've never sent one. Makes no sense to me. Doesn't prove anything in my opinion. Sending a photo doesn't prove anything. Either do your research or find someone else. Just my $0.02. ( :

I have never understood this.  With websites like TOB, TER, & ECCIE, and verification sites like P411, any guy with more than 2 brain cells to rub together can easily figure out who the "legitimate" providers are.  There are hundreds of them in Denver alone.  There's no possible way I can have sex with them all before I die.  Especially when the ones I do see make me want to come back for more.  Why risk it with some back page gal you've got no info on?  

Summer, Yesenia, and Heidi are dead-nuts spot on:  the cops can and will lie, cheat, steal, and otherwise break the law to fuck up your life.  Use your head.  Do deeper research than just asking someone you've never met before if a decision that could change your life is safe.
