Wax or Shave

38 posts in this topic

OK lets face to groom or not too groom has been beat to death, and there have been a few discussions about waxing and with some very funny comments so here is the point we have determined that most men like a bald kitty, and some are afraid of razors, well I have been shaving for about thirty years and the last few have been more discomfort than enjoyment, its only a half day or so that the little prick-lies are poking me in the shaft, so about a month ago went for the brazilian, yea it hurt a little, was ok by the time I put my pants back on, this is awesome no stubble after a day or so or ever about 2 weeks could see some hair showing back up and no itch this is great just went back and had it redone at 4 weeks was much less pain was in and out in 20 minutes feeling fresh and really smooth again, why I didn't do this a long time ago I don't know, only down side is the cost. my big question is why more providers don't do this I really hate when I get to a provider and she has stubble it is no fun to eat and that stubble just rubs face and dick raw.

That is one heck of a run on sentence! I thought I was bad!

I personally don't like bald kitty on myself. Otherwise, screw waxing, I'd go with laser hair removal. Had it on my legs and it's permanent. Figured not having to shave/wax anymore would be worth it. It is.

Totally understand and feel for your dislike of stubble.. My question is in order to get a Brazilian you must let the Kitty grow at least a half inch of hair. Not really willing to look like "Cousin It" for a month, not to mention my guests would be less then turned on with an unmanicured landscape. Oh the agony of it all!

Everyone should invest in an epilator. That way you can do little bits of hair removal at a time, and you NEVER have stubble.

I have been doing legs, under arm and all naughty bits for years, and barely get any hair anymore. It's lovely, fast, and no irritation, no stubble!

Oh and you don't need more than a millimeter of hair growth

to do it.

Actually they tell me just a 1/4 in I barely had a 1/4 when I had it redone, you didn't see any hair for 2 weeks and it was just starting to look ungroomed when I had it redone, and was never stubble, just soft growth.

For having the hair removed with an epilator? Or are you talking about wax? I don't wax for just that reason, but the epilator is great.

so glad I invested in five painful sessions of laser a few years ago. At least I can say I (hopefully) never have to do it again. Once you've felt that level of smooth (and you like it clean), you'll never want anything less!

The cost and hair length to get waxed is the only thing thats really stopped me from doing it. Ill admit tho im a little scared at how much it might hurt.

count me as a -1 on this deal

I have to admit here that i don't get the whole pre-pubescent look of porn stars and certain providers. frankly, it kind of weirds me out. as a semi-normal red-blooded american man, i want my women to look and feel like fellow adults.

far from being hair-averse, it's just the opposite for me. something neatly trimmed is perfectly fine - plus the scent of a woman in the natural state with the pheromones only adds to my ardor in the situation.

Anyone tried the NoNo as shown on TV?

Was wondering the same thing if that would work?

We will all have to grow together, so nobody feels left out Montana! lol That is why I don't wax. Who could stand the growth for 2 weeks? Ugh! gross!

Maybe we should have a "Back to the Seventies Month"!! At that point all the ladies that would like to laser or what have you could get it done!! Love your hair!! Looks beautiful.

I have the NoNo.

Have not had it for long, but I use it in addition to the epilator.

So, half body done with NoNo, and then as the hair grew "pull it out" with the epilator. It seemed that the NoNo half did take longer to come back. I have not had it long enough to give a for sure thumbs up or thumbs down yet.

But the reviews on the later models (especially the one for the man) was decent. I don't care so much about the leg part as I hardly have hair growth there anymore. But as far as the private area, it seemed to do something. I suppose I will have to give an update later.

Amen to that, I have gotten laser removal and it's the best investment ever.

You really have to find one with the right kind of laser though.

Blondes, Strawberry Red Heads and Gray haired people can't do Lazer removal because the Lazer can't see the follicle.

Trust me - I tried!;)

Yeah, that's a bummer. Some days I'm thankful to be a pale dark haired lady haha. You can't be tan either....but in winter that's no issue. When I came back from PR they made me wait till my tan faded because otherwise you get a nice pattern of weirdly pigmented squares up and down your legs for six months lol

Actually, I've a close friend that says it is possible to remove red, grey/white and blonde hairs now. The newer lasers do this well and most good spas will pre-treat with a six to eight week regimen of liposomes (Meladine or Lipoxone) which adds melanin/pigment to the hair shaft before the laser treatments. This helps the laser 'target' the hair. The coarser, the more treatments you have to have...but it is now possible!

We now return you from your medical lesson for the evening LOL

Well. I thought I would chime in.

I don't care if you have lots of hair, a landing strip, or none. All I care is that you let me play with it and enjoy it while I do so. I promise I wont do anything you wont like to it. ;)

I get waxed every 3 weeks(yeah, my hair grows that fast), and I love it! I spent more on razors than I do waxing, but I really want to start doing laser for some areas that still come in with in-grown hairs. I am lucky...I don't have a lot of hair, and it is blonde so it is no big deal for me to get the hair ripped out. Actually, I have certain areas that when my wax lady is pulling out the hairs, I giggle cause it tickles. Seriously, I giggle! She thinks it is fricking hilarious!

Anyways, since I started doing it...I have had no stubble and while it is a bit annoying to let the hair grow back to rip it out, I really look forward to getting it done so I can pet my smooth coochie again. :D

Now, my wax lady said that doing a guy's ball is precarious as she said they are the most tender of skins and can easily tear which is why it is so hard to find someone willing to shave them. Just thought I would throw that out to the guys pondering getting it done...get someone who knows what they are doing!

*smooches*

Fark :(

Just read the NoNo site and other interwebs reviews seems they do not recommend the tool for a guy's tool zone. Maybe its fine for the ladies.

I have used a chemical product but the timing has to have a degree of accuracy & even precision or you get yourself some toasted acorns.

Was hoping for some new engineering breakthru, gotta be other options.
