I've been looking around for escorts near my area (around Grand Junction) and maybe I'm being paranoid, but the majority of advertisements not from TOO seem like blatant scams. I'm not sure how to best sift through them so I thought I'd ask here if you all knew of anyone around the area or had any advice for finding legit girls. I've never seen an escort before and I've been really curious lately. I'm not sure what the proper etiquette is though. Any advice? I'm generally friendly and accommodating so I don't think that will be an issue but I'm not sure what else I should consider. Posted October 23, 2023 Stick to TOB, Tryst, Private Delights and Preferred411 (paid membership site) until you know what you are doing. All have ads for ladies in or visiting GJ. Research articles about hiring escorts, recognizing scams etc. there are many (duck search is your friend, google if you must), here is but one dealing only with scams: https://skipthegames.com/articles/about-escorts/how-to-identify-fake-escort-ads-and-avoid-scams Ironic that STG has helpful articles on how not to be ripped off, etc. when they have more scammers that the other four listed. As you have noticed I assume, TOB has reviews as does Private Delights. Reviews should NOT be considered gospel, but if several all agree about same lady, probably accurate. Most members here will respond to private messages regarding more detail for a review they posted - although with a newbie some will not. Most reputable ladies will list in their ads and especially websites, if they have one, what their screening requirements are and their preferred way to communicate - email, text, call, etc. Pay attention to how she wants contacted, be polite, do not ask for specific services or ask stupid questions like how much for xyz. Look for wording in her ad to the effect of "newbie friendly". There is no such thing as a 100 percent guaranteed only legit ladies and good times site. Scammers can be found anywhere including right here in River City. But stick to the listed sites, look for established ladies with reputations until you have the lay of the land and know what you are doing. Learn to research phone numbers, images, photos, ads and look for red flags - peruse the 411 threads here and that will make more sense. Do not count on specific information while a newbie lol. Is this standard for what some escorts will ask for as well? Speaking of scams, a lot of the advertisements that seem 100% fishy have "no payment up front/no deposit" listed on them. Cash is (for me) the only way I play. NO trails, no bait and switch with no return of deposit. Posted October 31, 2023 I completely understand why some companions require deposits. There is another thread running where the companion talks about 5 NCNS appointments in a row. I have only paid one - to a long standing well reviewed companion. I would not pay a deposit to a companion without a solid history on TOB. I don't actively avoid deposits....the companions that appeal to me just happen to not require one. In terms of verification, it is all over the board. Some require none, some require an extensive list of personal data. The norm is somewhere in between. If you are uncomfortable with anything she requests, move on.
