Posted July 11, 2016 Hello folks! I really enjoyed fishndude57’s How I Got Here post, and it got me thinking about my own journey that is just beginning. Started adult services this April. In January was on Craigslist looking for a sex partner to live out some sex/kink fantasies. Searching and emailing completely absorbed and was a distraction from what should have been my first priority-- getting a job. I was terrified and excited at the prospect of meeting a strange man from the Internet to have some creative sex, and safety was a main concern. After some steamy texts and emails, and meeting in public, sealed the deal with a couple gentlemen. My fantasies didn’t quite get fulfilled, but felt more confident about meeting men online. In March it occurred that flirting and meeting with men could be a viable career option. Now I’m surprised I didn’t consider it earlier. I’ve been interested in sexuality, kink, and gender since puberty and have thought about becoming a sex educator or sex therapist. Never seriously considered escorting because of the attached stigma and stereotypes. But my adventures on craigslist changed my mind about escorting, and it suddenly seemed like the perfect job. Still figuring this whole thing out. It is very different from cruising Craigslist. After blindly fumbling around there and on BP decided to use TOB, made my own website, what I make has mostly gone to sexy clothes, lingerie, toys, advertising, etc. (And taking my boyfriend out to dinner. He is jealous that I'm a provider, but only because he wants to be one too!) It has been a learning process, to say the least. fishndude57 has the right advice for newbies: “read read read"... And don’t be a fuckin douche. Always be polite and clean. And always safety 1st.” The last few months have been fun, terrifying, and fascinating. Definitely my favorite summer job. Posted July 12, 2016 Sorry to say it Lexie but in the world of PHD's real life experience, hands-on knowledge of the field and street smarts mean nothing. The only things that counts is if you can make it through the 8-10 year grind to get a PHD, how much you racked up in student loans and whether you can pass a bunch of tests based on theoretical knowledge. Whether you actually know something about the field is irrelevant. I must say though I have been with shrinks and psychologists and escorts. And the escorts have helped me far better getting through life's issues than any of the "professionals." And many of you ladies have far more empathy and less BS going on. And given that counseling isn't much cheaper than an escort I'll take the escort any day. Not only can you let your hair down with her but you also get to play. Base on that its a bargain!
