Posted August 15, 2015 I've seen a couple comments here about Backpage changes and how ads are up for a little while (15-45 min?) then are not visible. The only way you can get to the ad is by keyword search of a providers name or phone etc. Okay. I got that. Is there any way to see all the ads, or all the ads that "disappear"? I can't remember yesterday, so how am I supposed to remember the name of the lass whose ad I saw two weeks ago, but isn't showing up now? (Let's assume she is posting and I'm missing the ads.) Posted August 15, 2015 I have no idea why it's happening (maybe a lady that uses BP knows), but, they are not disappearing, just being "recategorized". For example, on the Denver BP escorts page, need to (for now), go to page 10 to see the disappeared ads. The disappeared ads are under "Additional Ads". Only kinda pattern I see is that many of the disappeared ads are posters that throw up new ads frequently (eg. Those that think posting the ad again every hour, to keep them at the top of the list will draw in the customers). Add: maybe pay vs non-pay? Seem to recall reading a story posted on this board re: BP changing how ads are handled due to Cook County Sheriff putting pressure on credit card companies. 0 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Posted August 15, 2015 This is unbelievable bullshit on the part of backpage. How long before they realize that when their boards are useless, their customers are going to go away? I had noticed some ads disappearing and had no idea why. This is awful. You can just change the page number in the address bar at the top of your browser. Posted August 16, 2015 The ladies are able to post free ads every 24 hours. Or they can move their ads up for a dollar so the free ads move down quickly to make room for the paid ads. From what I have been told the ladies can pay to move their ads up every day or hour. Once BP lost the ability to accpect CC the ladies Re trying to figure the best way to pay for ads. MO are ok but the pony express is rather slow. Bitcoin is questionable. So we shall see what How long BP will survive. Sj If there's a will there's a way, there are a few options that are way easier than bitcoin. Backpage is on fire and offered a handful of solutions and has done a great job communicating with it's registered members. To answer the OP since the ads are free they aren't live as long as the used to be and seemed to be pulled from the listings after I think just a few weeks. I also believe that posting a new ad versus bumping an old one makes a difference too. New is free and bumping up costs you like buck and any paid ad seems to take precedence Until the payment thing is straightened out I think the listings are going to just be a pain in the ass. The charge for reposting an ad so many times in a day was a pretty good idea, it keeps the ad current and is still less than the usual $12 and BP is still making money. 0 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Backpage filed for a restraining order and an injunction. Sheriff Dart is currently not allowed to interfere with Backpage's funding. It's all been very interesting.
