Here's the "newbie" in me coming out... what is a rate thread? I've noticed on my last two threads, there's a little star on the main discussion board under the 'Rating' column. What the heck is that and what does it mean?

And to any would-be smartasses... no, I didn't read the FAQ.

Wow, you MUST be new --- LOL.

A rate thread has to do with rates charged by providers. We get at least a couple per month, on average. They get really old, really fast.

THAT rating allows board members to give the actual thread a rating -- different than a "rate thread" (see above). Sometimes you'll see five stars, meaning that at least one board member voted the thread as a favorite.

Thread that wants to discuss why ladies charge what they do, whether it is too much, the nebulous nature of "hooker" math in setting rates for shorter or longer times (actually usually makes sense but not from a math standpoint), why they don't give freebies to really great guys on their birthday, etc. ad nauseum. But the ladies really love when you try to tell them how to run their business and what they are "worth". (DO NOT believe me here - smart-ass, smart-ass)
