It must be sweeps week - 9News; Roommates with Benefits = Prostitution

18 posts in this topic

Saw it on the news and thought it the dumbest ever.

1. This has to be a tiny amount of men.

2. Does any woman ever respond.

3. It's not remotely illegal so it's not a story.

I mean, that's marriage for some people. :P

That's exactly what I said when I heard the story. The big difference is that this is far more honest.

It cracks me up that our society is so full of shit about women. Most get "purchased" by some guy with cash and they all live a sham life together.

I was joking.

Hey...I'm a woman. FYI.

"Our" society is so full of shit about women? I stopped writing things about 'our society' when I turned in my last middle school essay. (these little flags in your writing really make me think you are 15- nevermind your thought process)

Most get 'purchased'?? That's such shit. I am here so I do what I do. But that's here. I'd never be able to live a sham married life just for money. And if I can do this, but not that, I'd bet "most" women couldn't either. Some can. Just like some men can live paying for a sham life. But most people can't. Most people want the real thing.

It's not shit and it's even part of communist theory.

I moved to Denver to help a person who was dying from cancer. He died and I predicted that his wife would try to snag a rich a guy ASAP, because I immediately assessed her as a fake whore type. She recently joined a golf club because that's where the rich guys hang out, so assessment confirmed.

That is typical behavior. Women marry some pussy for money, are unhappy, etc and that guy is a "John" but it's just not acknowledged. All of that is because is our society money trumps humanity.

These issues transcend middle school.

Your writing and ability to support your point doesn't transcend middle school, was my point.

For every anecdote you have...

Sorry, your life experience, while I'm sure it matters, doesn't a whole culture make.

Your hypocrisy, or maybe just ironic behavior, barely breaks the amusement barrier.

Right. Because I'm a hooker sometimes. I must bring that hooker paradigm in to all aspects of my life. I couldn't possibly have relationships that exist outside of it for reasons other than money.

For a supposed psychologist, you sure are cynical and blind to the expansive nature of people and their motivations and character. I can be a hooker and be motivated by money here. And I can be a wife and be motivated by building a family, loving a man from a very true and pure loving place, sharing the growth of a partnership with him... that has nothing to do with money. People...even women...are capable of an amazing array of motivations.

Your cynicism is sad.

The law is the law. If you offer a room in exchange for pussy then its prostitution. Is it news worthy depends on who is reading it.

True story I know of a man who lost his wife recently and he was lonely and horny but really did not want to pay for sex but he had to have his needs met. Being that he was moving he told me I could have whatever I wanted from the house. So I called him one day to go by and pick up the things I wanted. He tells me a friend from high school had been in touch with him to give her condolences. So they talk for awhile they decide they will be a couple he even utter the L word so he moves her out here. Now she has been homeless for a number of years. So he thinks he has hit the jackpot his problems have been solved. Free sex, sex and more sex and of course some companionship of sorts.

Well she or it lasted for a a week she flew the coup. Homelessness was more acceptable to her than free room and board. Personally, I could not live with someone day in day out being their blow up doll for mere room and board. Which he did resort too, crazy.

If I was a man I would be scared to death to bring someone into my house thinking sex, sex and sex. You just might end up in the big house for sexual assault or some shit.

So too each their own.

I apologize for insulting you and have nothing against what you do.

With that being said, I can count on one hand the number of women I've met, and it's a lot, who got together with a man for noble purposes. They're exchanging "pussy" for control, money, or some other soul sucking reason.

Whether I'm right or wrong that's how I see life. But, like I've said, it's classic communist theory and the root of feminism, that women in a capitalist country are prostitutes. It's one of the main reasons why feminists pushed for educated females with their own career. That would allow them to control capital (money) and not have to sell themselves.

It has only sort of worked.

Well, it must be the circles we run in. My female friends are forever dating men who don't have jobs or have crap jobs, sit around playing video games all day, borrow money, can't keep jobs. Having been on the dating scene for a while now - it seems many more women have their shit together than men! Very frustrating. My friends have incredible careers and make good money. You should hang out with women who have...you know...careers and stuff. There are a ton of them out there. Maybe it will change your perspective.

Actually, I'd love to meet a woman who doesn't have much of a career or doesn't care much about it, but is more person centered. The reason I say that is because I've always been with career women and I can't stand it as they remind me of men, the kind of men I don't like. By that I mean constant "upgraders", social climbers, and fakes. They think of nothing but work, which to me is stupid, as I am WAY over my career.

I grew up in a blue collar area and love down to Earth types. But, I thought, and was told, that I needed to get away from that and be a professional. I got that done and ended in the "bourgeois" middle class and I didn't realize how vicious these people are. You have to have certain types of clothes, haircuts, activities for children, organic foods, and so on. I cannot stand this stuff because I like to be open, honest, spontaneous, and I have a humorous attitude toward life.

I'd rather have a non-pretentious "hooker" as a pal than one of these types, which I do not know how to escape from. But anyway, the whole idea about the bourgeois is that they're constantly trying to get rich, which will never happen, and trying to avoid losing it all, so everything is super tense and calculated. That includes marriage, just like old royalty jockeying for position.

Anyway, I'm a nice fellow and very fit, so introduce me to one of your friends who likes men because they're human. I will kiss your feet (for free!).

Jesus H. Roosevelt Christ! This has got to be the most sexist thing I've ever read.

I thought you psychology types were supposed to be enlightened?!?

I am sorry but to think that we hookers are down to earth and non- pretentious think again. WE are all about the money. This is were the acting comes in. Prostitution comes in every form and education level.

After all we are Americans both male and female.

Saying "I'm all about money" is non-pretentious because you aren't "pretending" at anything. It is horrible to me to be around people are all about money, greed, etc while they pretend they're superior people, christians, and other titles that are total BS.

In my apartment complex I know this lesbian who is dating an escort and she is as raw and vicious as they come, but I'd rather talk to her about life than some middle class church lady who is a covert whore and lies 24/7. So, do you know what I mean by that?

Saying something is "sexist" is bourgeois thought control, if it's true. The same goes for the use of the term "racist" if that criticism is also true.

The same thing happened to Freud a long time ago. He discovered that most of his patients had been sexually abused at some point. He presented this to the authorities in his field, and because they had a bourgeois mentality, rejected that it was really happening. So, they made him say all these people were delusional, that blames the victim instead of the true perp.

That eventually got rectified many decades later.

I don't believe in doing that kind of thing and won't let it happen to me. And, my underlying motive for saying it is because I know fulfilling relationships are the key to happiness, but how many work to get that versus clothes and other crap.

It's disappointing.
