  1. More recent reporting has stated that the assumption that there were many unreported "stealth" cases which would drive down the actual case fatality rate was wrong. Moreover, recent reporting has clarified that "mild" cases include bilateral viral pneumonia. These report are actually consistent. People are being selective with the available data.

Now, as for unsubstantiated (verified through multiple methods) information: It appears that is may attack the brain and reproductive organs, and it appears that it can remain airborne for at least 3 hours.

    Take precautions.

  2. Justina, that is a very poor rationale.

There's a big difference between having your credit card number or other ID information stolen and having information about private and potentially illegal activities stolen and posted online.

ID theft and credit card fraud create a lot of headaches and some financial stress.

Personal information associating one with illicit or illegal sexual activities ruin marriages, careers, and lives.

  3. Instead of keeping a separate phone, if you have Android just install Talkatone.

It's a VOIP app that gives you a dedicated number, works with text, and is only available when you run it. It works via WiFi as well as over the carrier's internet access.

  4. As another person who has photography and videography as serious hobbies, I agree about the risk. I am always very careful about any photos/video I take/use and always adhere to whatever agreement has been made, written or not. But that is only because trust is critical for me as a serious hobbyist. The average Joe will be sharing in some way or another and could give a rats-ass about your concerns.

That all said, I love the option but for most ladies I would have to caution about the risks.

On the other side, a "performer" is not an escort and that is probably perfectly legal if setup the right way...

  5. Never pay. Even if it is a real phone number, it is so easy to fake the whole thing there is no way it can be used as any sort of proof. If it were to ever come up somehow, simply state it's an extortion scam. You had received a text a while back from some unknown number demanding money to remove the false info and after contacting PD and finding out it was an overseas site they could do nothing about you dropped it because it's meaningless and even if you got a new number it could happen again...

  6. So, for those who do not have a serious medical condition you might consider trying L-Citrulline. It's not a "quick fix". Take 1,00-1,500mg a day for a couple of days and then you should see a difference...

  7. If you are actually dating and consider each other boyfriend and girlfriend then it is cheating. Even if you pay for it. Relationships require communication and the predetermining of boundaries.

An escort is still a woman and if you are dating one they still deserve to be treated like any other girlfriend.

OK, but if she is still screwing other guys for money (and I understand that is her chosen line of work which makes this situation a bit unique) and that isn't cheating, how is it cheating if HE pays another lady for sex? Isn't that more than a little hypocritical?

In this situation, it would seem paid sex could not constitute cheating...

That said, since she is a provider I would suggest asking her opinion on this.

  8. Any serious DoS anymore will be a DDoS and will not be sourced from a single location/region.

If the attack was easily sourced back to China it was either someone playing around / experimenting, or someone was actually sharp enough to point the evidence to somewhere else.

A DoS can be performed with total anonymity fairly easily. There are just way too many bots/ zombie networks out there - and available to rent fairly cheaply. Even without the bots, it's not hard to perform a totally anonymous DoS attack.

The attacks that can actually be traced are the real hacking attempts (break ins) as in those cases traffic/data has to make it's way back to the attacker in some way. That's not true with a DoS attack.

  9. From my personal experience as being a model for guys that claim to be professional photographers from this board it has been a bad experience. If you are going to be a "professional" PLEASE have the professional tools that it takes to be a "professional". Please make sure that you have proper lighting. Please make sure that you have an actual studio and you are not just shooting in some dingy room that is too small. Please make sure that you have a proper camera. The ones that you can get from Walmart $150 are not professional. You need a DSLR with several different lenses. Please have proper backdrops (that are not tore up and ratty) and sets and props for the model to use. Nothing screams unprofessional like somebody trying to say that their bedroom is the set that the model will be using. All that I am saying is make sure that you have the proper materials to call yourself professional. If you don't, the lady will never be in touch with you again, she will question your judgment and she will talk to her friends about what a bad experience it was shooting with you. I know because I speak from personal experience as the "model" on "sets" that did not meet the criteria explained above.

[snip] I have found that the best way to get models is by word of mouth and by having a portfolio of your work to show to your potential model client. The best thing that you can do is say "hey, here is my portfolio with all of my work" and then let the girl decide from there. But if you do a good job, she WILL tell her friends and in return you will get more models.

Unfortunately, girls on this board are generally hinky about guys "looking for models" because the truth of the matter is that many of the guys that claim to be photographers here are not. Note that I said many and not all because I know that there is at least one professional photographer here that does great work. But there are 50 nonprofessionals to the one professional unfortunately.:(

Well, I started with photography back in 1984 shooting and developing B&W, later I shot color reversal and slide film, switched to digital when the Canon 10D came out. Shoot with a newer Canon DSLR now.

Yes I have strobes, umbrellas, scrims, reflectors, large backdrop and multiple muslins. Working with all of that can be tedious and isn't always necessary (often isn't). Depends on what look you want.

Anyway, I am putting together information on my intended shoot and myself that I can provide to ladies that I contact to inquire about possible interest...

  10. I honestly am not sure why you are having an issue with finding models. I sure don't...

I do know some photogs in CO have a bad rep because they don't let the model bring a friend to the shoot if it is fetish/adult related (makes them seem creepy)...and of course there is the ever present and VERY annoying "guy with a camera"

syndrome that is rampant on those sites.

I assume you have your work visible on those sites...and it helps to not just have nudes, but a variety of work displayed in your portofolio and links to the make-up artists etc that you work with. Also, when you compose a request to a model, be sure to have first looked at her portfolio to make sure that is something she does. Newbies are more likely to accept your offer, as models that have been around a while tend to find their niche (glamour, commercial etc) and often don't venture out of that niche.

Anyway, I'm sure you know this already, but just in case. Oh yeah, traveling models often tend to do more of the fetish/adult/nude work so keep an eye out for them.

All true and known. It's just a general flakiness issue with models following-up. If I was just shooting fashion/lingerie there's be a lot more models and more models who take it seriously. It's the niche of this shoot making the process more problematic.

  11. sorry, you just sound like a perv wanting to get free naked photos.

That's because you know nothing of my photography and aren't paying attention: "hiring models" means I pay a model to pose for a photo shoot. I don't want anything for free. I am not seeking business (i.e. to sell my services). I have a specific project in mind and am seeking feedback on potential resources.

Again, I am not going to get into specifics beyond my question here. I think that wonders too far and starts to get into self-promotion. I will answer questions and provide work examples to models who are interested in working for me via direct communication (message me).

Anyway, I figured this forum was a long shot but you never know where you might find an unexpected resource.

  12. Considering lots of guys in our world are picture collectors claiming to be photographers, you should offer more info, like credentials, are you paying? What exactly do you have in mind? etc....Then ladies could PM you if interested....Or you could buy a banner ad on EB!

I didn't want to turn this into a job posting, hence the limited details. I am not selling my service, but rather hiring models, which is why the banner ad isn't a good fit.

If a lady may have any possible interest, they can PM and we can discuss off the forum.

    Thanks,

    A-rod

  13. 1) Slowly start complaining about minor annoyances with your main phone.

    2) Miss an occasional call from wife or drop the call intentionally.

    3) Mention you are going to take your phone in to store to have it checked...

    4) Suggest you think you need a cheap (disposable) backup phone in case your phone is actually dying. Mention how cheap they are and it's "just in case".

    5) Show the replacement phone, leave it around a bit.

    6) "Find" a rom update for your primary phone that you apply which solves you phone issues...

Now you have an excuse for that other phone that may be found somewhere at some time...

  14. There are aspects of many employment contracts that go too far into taking away personal rights or invasion of privacy. Not all of which are actually legally binding (if fought in court).

It's one thing if you are a public figurehead for a company. You are very well compensated and you are part of the image of the company.

But for the average grunt worker, not so much. You should not be restricted from seeking out other income earning opportunities that do not directly conflict with the business of any other employers. Morality clauses should also be void. What if you aren't married and have sex? Many still view that as immoral. What business is it of theirs?

I hear so much crap about Unions from conservative idiots and yet look at how much power business wield over our personal lives?

    Sorry...end of rant...

No, make that I violated it knowing full well what I was doing. Did i measure the risk right? Probably not. Just like she didn't either.
