I've never encountered a pimp

13 posts in this topic

I'm 3 years or so into the hobby. Born and raised on Backpage and that's still where I mostly go. Seems most ladies are independent anyway which makes fiscal sense and is what I prefer.

In my travels I've never seen or heard any evidence of a pimp or boyfriend anywhere around. I appreciate them being stealthy if they had been there...

I read an article on CNN this morning which prompted this thought.

Wow, 31 Large per week in Denver? Methinks a change in career should be considered. LOL Then again, results were based on interviews so grain of salt, s'pose.

Back when I indulged in streetlight madonnas, I did see the occasional pimp lurking about. Always treat the girls with respect and nut quickly keeps the peace.

Never did understand the bidness in San Diego. Go south 10 miles and you're in TJ with brothels and escorts aplenty, with no fear of LEO most of the time. Why bother with the San Diego scene.

Your post reminds me of a saying: "when you go hiking in the woods, maybe you don't see the bear, but the bear sees you" :P

Hey, there's "how to" books on amazon for both pimps and escorts. LOL.....go study up!

Doing the math in my head.....using an average of 250 per hour for the average going rate around here.......and an average of 5 girls per pimp from the article........thats $6,200 per girl, or about 25 one hour sessions per girl per week.

Holy crap! 25 guys a week that look like me. And I thought MY job sucked........

Then you haven't looked very hard. There are many hookers on EB that pimp out other girls and I am sure it is much higher on BP.

Wow at the books.

I'd love to know if they were written by real pimps.

Searched Amazon on how to become a pimp, and apparently the top dog of his day was one Sir Iceberg Slim, a real pimp who was "like God" to his hundreds of ho's. Quite the dandy, even made the rounds on the lecture circuits and talk shows; influenced some of today's charmers like Ice-T, et. al.

I think I'll pass on the book

I might as well.

When I worked for the prison system I met a variety of pimps and I don't like them much, it's like being a slave owner. But, these guys believed they protecting women whose natural inclination was to be whores. Meanwhile, I've had many "whores" for clients and most were molested, etc.

Anyway, I met this one pimp who told me his last name was "Money" and I got angry. I don't allow "street names" to be used. Lots of black criminals will use a code name so that the cops won't jail them using their real identity.

I got on Mr. Money, about this but then other inmates jumped in and said they knew him in real life, and his name was Money. It's a popular black last name in Philly. I couldn't stop laughing!

I read the book. Tried all the tips on being a pimp. Didn't help. I only got one girl in my stable. My wife.

Call me naïve, but out of the 245 p411 ladies today, all but 12 identify as independent. I have only seen 5% of these Indies and have never dealt with anyone but the provider herself. By pimping are we talking about a website developer or some other support person i.e. landlord?

My definition of a pimp is a significant other that not only doesn't contribute financially to the relationship, but also thoroughly enjoys the fruits of his lady's labors. Most pimps are too lazy, or too busy sleeping after late nights of partying, to have much of a hand in the actual business dealings of the provider. She either works "independently" or for an agency, separate from her personal relationship.

Booking Assistants and Agencies work their butts off for the money they make. Some Assistants and Agency owners are asswipes in their own right, but I don't consider them to be "pimps" because the work they do is legitimate (at least in my eyes!).

Obviously, my viewpoint might be a little biased, having owned an Agency for many years. Which I always said was "twice the work for half the pay", having come from being an independent provider.
