Posted August 28, 2013 I wonder if ASP's could make a case and sue others using their stolen pics under this law? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-23863501 California is considering a law that would make it illegal to post "revenge porn" in the US state. The state assembly bill would make it a crime to post pictures of anyone online in a state of full or partial undress. Crucially, the latest version of the bill makes it illegal to post pictures even with that person's consent. But prosecutors would have to prove "the intent to cause serious emotional distress, and [that] the other person suffers serious emotional distress". First offenders could expect up to six months in jail, a $1,000 (£645) fine, or both.
Posted August 30, 2013 Full-on disgusting! The times are a changing: when I was young, you pretty much had to use the Polaroid! You wound up with developed photos, and unless you had them printed and distributed, they stayed with you! Professional printing of film more or less required that you KNEW THE DEVELOPER--and you STILL KNEW that he had printed copies for his buddies.......And unless your woman was a real exhibitionist, you were pretty limited in your options! It has become a little TOO easy now.....I have a friend who ( STUPIDLY) sent topless photos to a boyfriend, and now she is on no less than 8 adult sites...It can literally take months to get the photos removed. I really hate government intervention, (and love those naked photos of girlfriends/wives) but man, it is nearly impossible to remove photos from circulation, and they can REALLY be hurtfull:(
Posted August 30, 2013 Cost and effort to track down someone who stole your photos aside... Big issue: who in their right mind will go to court and say "I'm a hooker and that other hooker stole my pictures!"?
