Many of us are interested in a connection beyond the obvious. The chances of that experiencer are likely diminished in an encounter with a companion lacking the integrity to communicate when finding themselves unable to meet their PROFESSIONAL obligations (whatever the reason). This, simply put, is disrespectful. That said, the lady has failed your screening with this (lack of) action. I know it has wasted your time, bruised your ego and shrunk your junk, but on the bright side, you still have your $, free to move forward. If the lady has posted a reasonable sounding rebuttal and this is not a recurring pattern, it may mitigate the circumstances and not have as great an impact on your due diligence. Or...you can go with your gut. Worse things have happened, don't get your undies in a bunch and give thanks for the great majority of wonderful, fun and exciting encounters we are SO lucky to experience.

I know this might be a bit of a minefield to navigate, as no one wants to offend any one based on physical characteristics. There are most certainly many worthy exceptions to these generalities. Would you also find this true in other areas of life, work, for example? Do these types seek each other out, blissfully unaware of exceptional possibilities that may await them? Are they generally a less introspective lot?

Just an observation on the nature of humanity. As for myself, I chose to be single and accountable only to myself. I can add that while 3somes can be fun I prefer the focused company of one companion at a time. I have enjoyed long monogamous relationships, which, if BOTH parties wish to nurture, necessitate the requisite hard work, communication, emotional ups and downs and occasional frustration to flourish Adding a third party (and an unwanted and unknown one to the party of the first part at that) would seem a bit overwhelming and difficult for all three. I guess in the final analysis, this type of arrangement could work if the three participants ALL want it enough to put in the work. Prolly the chances of "Hey Honey I'm home. Had this experience once...and it was a bit awkward as I was chatting with my new friend and it soon became obvious that the text chats with who I had thought was her had not been passed on.
