  1. Brooks Robinson

RIP. I remember seeing him while playing the White Sox. He was an extraordinary third baseman and based on what I've read, an even better person. @gr8owl Like you, it another death that makes me feel old.
  2. Football season is here

I could not believe yesterday's Bronco game. Miami may be good but not that good. A sad day for Bronco fans. It was like a car wreck that you just can't stop watching. Is our defense really that bad? Time for more personnel and staff changes?
  3. Football season is here

I think CU is not as good as people thought and they are not as bad as yesterdays performance. Being brought back down to earth can be a good thing in the long run. I believe they will have a much better season than the last few seasons, but it won't get any easier next week against USC.
  4. Tomorrow

Feeling mixed emotions can be a part of big life events. Hopefully the drama will be at a minimum with your extended family and you are able to enjoy this special day. Sending you good thoughts.
  5. Our Pup Update

Glad he is doing better. It always hurts when our pets have health issues. If he is back to being playful and enjoying his walks he must be doing a bunch better.
  6. Kerol, I hope you find Denver to be a fun and fruitful place to play. Welcome !!
  7. hello everybody

Let's all find ways to make today a great day. Gonna be a superb Saturday. Weather is fine and there are some outstanding college games on today.
  8. Welcome back to Colorado. Hope your tour is fun and fruitful !!
  9. Moves your soul.

Mountain was a great group. Leslie West's guitar had a tone all its own. Corky Laing and Steve Wright are the only remaining original members.
  10. New girl :)

Welcome and hope you have a great time in our community.
  11. John Fielder

He did some phenomenal photos that showed off our state in the best of ways. Sorry to hear of his death.
  12. Bad Provider vs Bad Client

I've had a ton of fun with a lot of ladies from the board and feel very fortunate to have met them. For me a "bad" encounter is one with a lady who seems rushed, disinterested, doesn't make eye contact and does not appear to enjoy herself. I know everyone has bad days and try to be understanding when it happens (which is seldom has for me). Also, a "bad lady" for some may be someone else's favorite. Sometimes people just don't click. That is why I do my best to do some research and when first contacting a lady I try to include a bit about myself. Also I invite them to feel free to read my reviews and posts. I am interested in a fun encounter between consenting adults and let them know if they don't think we would be a good fit, it's okay. I am not interested in just "insert post A into slot B".
  13. Ball Busting - Swing away

Watch when it happens on screen in a theater and then look around at the guys in the audience. You will see many of them cringe because they know what if feels like....and it is NOT pleasant at all. It really can take the breath away.
  14. Hope you have a great time in Denver. Depending on your interests and hobbies, there are a lot of options. Check out Red Rocks for a concert, visit either the Denver Art Museum or Museum of Nature and Science, take a trip to Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park or head down to Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, visit some of the many fine restaurants, catch a baseball game at Coors Field, or hit some places that feature local music. I'm sure you'll find something (or someone) fun to do.
  15. RIP Randy Meisner

A fine bass player with an outstanding voice. "Take it to the Limit" allowed him to vocally shine. Another loss for the music world.
  16. Sinéad O'Connor

She had a great voice. Also had some mental health issues, trauma and other life challenges. I am sorry she passed...way too young. Many folks don't realize that people who have experienced trauma and severe mental health challenges have a shorter life expectancy (for a variety of reasons) than the general population.
  17. Moves your soul.

Very talented and you are right, some tragedy as well. Some folks don't even know he was a founding member of Fleetwood Mac and wrote "Black Magic Woman" made famous by Santana.
  18. Oh hi, TOB!

Welcome to the board and hope you have a great time here.
  19. Newbie here

Hope you find what you are looking for. Remember, research is your friend. I also found that when I started participating more in the forums it was a lot more fun and it gave folks a chance to learn a little bit about me which, I hope, increased the comfort level for some.
  20. Kali, the no sugar BBQ sauce turned out delicious. Made it yesterday and did the pulled chicken. My apartment mate said he could not tell it was no sugar added. 80% less carbs/sugar than regular BBQ sauce and really tasty.
  21. Increasing Threats, Harrassment and Solicitations

No advice, but it sucks when stuff like this happens. This is supposed to be about fun and when folks are harassed it really makes it a bummer. I know it can be tough but ignore the trolls that try to mess with you. So sorry this is happening.
  22. Hola, I m Julia

Julia, hope you have a great time in Denver. Lots of fun things (and people) to do. Enjoy !!
  23. Alana, welcome to our community. Some fine folks here. Have some fun !!
  24. Sugar Free Barbecue sauce

Kali, I do love to cook and I've enjoyed trying to cut back on carbs/sugar with some new recipes. Dropped 5 pounds in the past 6 weeks and I am fine with continuing to lose weight slowly.
  25. Sugar Free Barbecue sauce

Off the top of my head I don't remember the exact amounts, but used the whole bottle ofHeinz No-Sugar Added Ketchup, a handful of Swerve Brown Sugar Substitute (for the sweet), Apple Cider Vinegar (for tanginess), Worcester Sauce, Tabasco Sauce (for some heat), a bit of mustard, just a bit of Liquid Smoke, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder plus some fresh garlic, a pinch of pepper and some water. Heat it to a mild boil while stirring, then turn it down to a simmer for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let cool, bottle it and put it in the fridge. I used it right after cooling and it was tasty on the pulled chicken. The YouTube vids I watched said it tastes even better after being in the fridge for a day or two. Of course you can adjust the amounts to taste. This was my first try, and I am VERY pleased. Thanks to all the folks who did YouTube videos for me to watch to get some ideas, recipes and basics to start from. Yesterday I did a pot roast in my Foodi pressure cooker and pan sauteed a boatload of veggies (cabbage, onion, garlic, red and yellow peppers, and egg plant. Seasoned the veggies with salt, pepper and a Cajun seasoning.
