Posted August 1, 2014 You do not have to wait until Nov. 15th to purchase health insurance. I just obtained insurance this week. Go to an insurance broker for help. They cannot ask you any questions about previous conditions. A LIFE CHANGING EVENT STATEMENT is required. Just list on a piece of paper: 1. Your name 2. Address 3. The event (i.e. loss of insurance, loss of job, divorce, moved, etc.) 4. Date of event Now be prepared for a shock when you see the cost. There is nothing affordable about the Affordable Care Act. I will be in touch today, iv just cleaned my box... lol

Posted August 1, 2014 Depends. Due to a pre-existing condition, only insurance I could get was the state's high-risk pool. Under ACA, I'm paying 40% less for much better coverage (practically no out-of-pocket after deductible, which is low). Stage 1 cancer, witch is the lowest stage. (caught early) iv paid for surgery upfront to secure a date. It was not cheep. So any health insurance at this point is a nessary. Most defently cheeper than paying upfront and out of pocket. I have many options for treatments unless it spreads. Then my treatment options will change at that point.
Posted August 1, 2014 Nikki Holiday; My thoughts are with you and wish you a full recovery. If you need anything during your surgery or recover, I have little doubt that many on these boards will be happy to do what they can. You just have to ask.

Now that the surgery is finally paid for, I was able to lock in date for surgery in September. I was hoping to get in sooner. Hopeyfully I will still be stage 1 and hasnt spread.
Posted August 13, 2014 Sex workers are discriminated against in many areas. If you disclose that you are an escort to a company who you want coverage from, you risk that they will turn you down. If you're talking to a broker, it mite be OK to disclose. Are you wanting to disclose so that if something happens, your insurance will be honored? God forbid you should die, the insurance mite not pay if they found you died while in session. Is that your concern? I'd like to know more about that too. Any underwriters in the house?
