Nikki: I could not agree with you more. In January, I came down with the J1N strain of Covid. I had an appointment scheduled with a well-known, Denver provider who I had seen in the past. I informed her two days before that I had Covid and would not be able to see her. She became upset and insisted that I pay her 100% of her fee, or she would BL me and never see me again. She doesn't list a cancellation fee, and since she hosts out of her own place, she wasn't losing out on a hotel booking fee. I informed her again that I had Covid, and that if she contracted it from me, she would lose a lot more money because she would most likely have to cancel her upcoming tour. She was pissed and did end up blocking me. I feel 48 hours was more than enough notice, given that I had Covid. Oh well.

Please, always take measures to protect yourself to the best of your ability. Within the last few weeks, there have been some very scary events that took place. They were not in Colorado but are definitely of concern. A lady who is very well known and experienced from the PNW was savagely attacked, beaten, and robbed while visiting San Diego. She was blitz attacked shortly after her client entered her room. She sustained serious facial fractures and lacerations. This animal also stole her work phone and all her cash. Through her own admission, she relaxed her screening protocol to increase business. It was not the right move. She went to the hospital but left untreated because she didn't want the police called. Another lady, one who does visit Denver, detected an Air Tag somewhere in her area, but was not able to locate it. That's flat out scary! Maintaining positive control of your possessions, to include your clothing, is pretty important. I realize that you can't maintain positive control while you're taking a bathroom break, but taking precautions to safeguard your bag and clothing is now something folks should probably consider. Please be safe.

Depending on the city, you may wish to consider a ZipCar account. Believe that it costs $9 to join, and that rates are as low $10 per hour with a daily max of $90. I know it's not for everyone, but when I worked in D.C., I knew a lot of people who didn't want the hassle of owning a car in the city.

This type of event is more common than one may think. Sometimes it's simply bad communication, poor time management, or a technical glitch. Then other times it's behavioral. Given that the provider quickly went to the attack with blacklist/DNS I'm going to lean towards a behavioral event. Even if you decided to return, I'm willing to believe that the session would be less than positive. My rule of thumb is that if I don't hear anything after 20 minutes post appointment time then I'm done. I don't send anything that could be perceived as confrontational. I don't want friction. Often, I'll send a what happened? text after I get home. I've had a well-know/reviewed lady who didn't wake up in time for the appointment. I was fine with that, but I wasn't going to wait the 3 hours she requested for her to get ready. We simply picked another day. I've also had people simply just ghost me, and then later tell me that I could pack sand. Rest assured, there was no plans to reschedule with her. I fully agree with BigBaldBLK that writing a negative review really doesn't benefit you, and has the potential to paint you negatively, in some peoples' eyes, even if that isn't your intent. Words on a screen don't always convey the true context of what you mean. As for the office building, I knew several providers when I was back east who would direct you to an intermediate location, close to their location before sending you the actual final address. Often time that location was visible from their in-call location, and they could see you. Just my thoughts.

The hiking at Brainard Lake is incredible and has high probability of seeing moose. I believe it's now managed via timed entry. There are also some lovely hot springs in Glenwood, as previously mentioned, but other areas worth consideration Strawberry Hot Springs near Steamboat, as well as any of the mineral springs in Pagosa Springs. Some interesting wine/bubbly bars, as well as nice places to eat in the Larimar Square area of LoDo. Welcome!
