  1. US citizens left In Afghanistan-PISSED

We can't blame Mohammed, but we should try blaiming the Saudi Aradians. We would have run them over in 6 months and we could have stayed out of Afghanistan.
  2. Any Skiers Out There?

I can't wait to ski this year!! I only skimmed the article but from what I read Vail resorts, and the others, are going to be a circus. I don't see how they are going to make it prioritizing pass holders for reservations. Pass holders spend less money on the hill than those who buy tickets. How am I supposed to make an advanced reservation for a powder day? If I could schedule those I would do that now. I'm glad I have been able to transituon to backcountry skiing over the last 5 years. No crowds, the snow quality is always great and all the powder you can eat. If anyone is interested in out of bounds skiing let me know. It's always nice to have another set of legs for breaking trail. Enjoy winter eveyone!!
  3. The wonerful cyber world

Thanks for everyone's input, I was referring to the troll. I can appreciate the humor of his avatar, but not him. I see that he is still chopping away on that thread. When I was in college in a land and a time far away my friends used to sit around and try to figure life and the world out. We didn't all share the same perspectives but we all liked and respected each other. We would play devils advocate a lot, most of them were way smarter and much more well read than I was. The group included a few older nontraditional students, some retired military guys and nonwhites. ( I went to school in Iowa so getting other perspectives took some work sometimes.) I had people push me to really figure out why I believed what I did and that was a great thing. In doing that you kind of shifted your own perspectives because you need to confront your own biases and weaknesses with the help of others. Great times, and I miss those people. There may have been a bong involved too. As far as the other branch of the thread. I agree, there are ladies that make comments that make me want to see them because they seam like really interesting people. Too bad I don't have the time to get up to Denver to make that happen, hopefully someday soon that will be a possibility. I would hate to wait too long and have them retire. That goes for the guys that replied as well. I read a lot of what they have to say and they seam like intelligent and engaging people who's conversation would be great to get in on. Have a good night everyone, safe travels.
  4. Long time listener, first time caller. Thanks for taking my call. My question is this.... Has anyone ever changed anyone else's mind on the internet? I have never seen a discussion here or anywhere that had that outcome. I don't get out much but I've never seen it happen. I get exchanging ideas and pushing back a little when someone says something you don't agree with. Especially when ideas are expressed like some of the ones in the "Looking for a surrogate provider" thread, the callus and or ham handed ones. I wish we lived in a time like the Enlightenment when people engauged in civil discource with the mutual goal to learn from other and expand our cerebral horizons. Unfortunately our culture is about as far from that as we could get. Having said that, I get the fun in engaging a brick wall in a conversation, occasionally. Just wondering what you think. On a positive note, it's a great snow year again so I hope your getting out if its' your thing. If not, only 4 more months of winter. Have a good night.
  5. Boring where is the imagination?

How about this? Why is Slayer F'ing up a perfectly good concert in Colorado Springs by being the head liner? Or, for my money even on the bill? I love the other bands but Slayer, no thanks. Primus and Ministry are openers. Both acts are going to put on a better show than Slayer. Primus is always a good time and Ministry will blow you out of the water.
