I've had to cancel, but I always make it a point to let her know. Blinding snowstorms on the 50-mile drive to her place, meetings set by your boss at just the wrong time -- stuff happens. The key is to communicate -- immediately, politely. And please, ladies, if you're on P411, check your email every few hours -- don't take 2 days to respond. I try to schedule 2-3 days in advance, and if I don't hear back from an email or voice mail in 12 hours or so, it's on to the next lady. The lady I've seen most often in the last five years always replies to email within an hour or so (except for the time she was in the Emergency Room - I saw the scar later) -- in addition to the fact that we really click, that's one reason I always see her when I'm in her area.

Not exactly attacked, but VERY pleasantly surprised: Visited a lady I had seen several times before at her private incall. She answered the door sopping wet, wrapped in a towel, and asked if i wanted to join her in the shower. Clothes fell off all the way to the bathroom, and nearly an hour later I emerged from the shower very clean, with shriveled fingers and a really stupid grin on my face. Good, clean, unexpected fun!

Winter appointments in Denver are always iffy, 'cause I live in the Springs. However, I have been known to make it there through a snow storm for an appointment, although on a couple of occasions I've had to call and cancel. Bottom line is always call, whether you're the client or the provider; simple courtesy.

Everybody's experience with chiropractors is different. I had chronic hip and lower back pain for several years until I started chiropractic treatment. The pain was apparently related to soft tissue and body alignment, rather than degenerated or injured disks. Chiropractic treatment totally eliminated the pain, and I have had no recurrence in ten years. No drugs needed. I'm 70 years old, and moving more easily than when i was 55. Reputable chiropractors use x-rays to help in diagnosis and treatment, particularly for chronic pain. By the way, i was a fairly rabid non-believer in chiropractic until my experience.

There's a reason that "older" and "wiser" fit together so nicely in so many sayings. As I reflect on my sexual behavior in my 20's, it's amazing I made it to my 50's. And there are darn few 20-something ladies with whom I can have a decent conversation (although every once in a while it's fun to try!). That's why I appreciate TOB; you can read a few posts and get a pretty good idea if a poster is an airhead, or is thoughtful and articulate. Give me thoughtful every time.

You sound a little like me when I began hobbying, but I was forty years older! Do lots of research on P411 and TOB, or other places, and stay away from BP until you develop enough sixth sense to use it intelligently. I'll echo the advice that older women (30+) are more likely to give you the sort of experience you're looking for, at least initially. You're tight on funds, so you need to be diligent in research and look for ladies with a solid history of good reviews. They're out there! Happy hunting! Check your PM's.

I hate to be late to any appointment, hobby or otherwise; it's just rude. But sometimes life interferes, both for me and the ladies, and I always call if I have to cancel or delay. I've had ladies NC/NS on me, but I always email later to ask what happened, and I've never been unsatisfied with the answer, and have seen them again with great results. If I'm more than 10 minutes early, I cool it for a while (not in the hotel parking lot!) before calling. Like pfunk says, the Golden Rule applies.

Checking TOB tonight, I realized it's been about five years since I started hobbying. Just thought it was time to thank all the guys and ladies who got me started, answered my questions (usually before I asked), and in general made this a welcoming community. No, I'm not leaving (I hope!), but looking forward to more enlightening exchanges, and, yes, the occasional flaming - many of us enjoy watching a train wreck in slow motion. Thank you to the Mods, the ladies, the lurkers, the ??????. All of you continue to make this a fascinating place to visit. I don't post often; only when I think I can make a unique positive contribution. I'll be here as long as the mind is willing, even when the flesh might get a little weak (at least the second time around). Stay sexy, my friends.
