Posted May 19, 2014 Does anyone have knowledge of Denver's policy towards the confiscation of condoms as evidence? It had never occurred to me that this absurd practice would lead to the increased spread of STDs, but it made sense once it was brought to my attention.
Posted May 19, 2014 Condoms are not legally considered evidence in Colorado, like they were in New York. But I'm pretty sure LE can use whatever they want to as evidence if they want to push it far enough on someone who doesn't have a good lawyer. It's worth noting that condoms are usually used as evidence against providers, and not clients.
Posted May 20, 2014 I had a girlfriend get in trouble in Denver & 1 lucky officer had the job of counting how many condoms were in the trash. They did not take them into evidence but it was noted how many they found.
