Oh no.  Didn't even know he was sick.  RIP.

Very sad.  He was one of my favorite artists both for his song writing and guitar playing.  And singing. The following seems appropriate, an old song that holds up well.

Dave Mason was a heck of a guitarist, songwriter and vocalist.  Loved his stuff in Traffic and solo endeavors.  Saw him at Taste of Colorado years ago and he was awesome.  Before he came back for his encore he had to get some oxygen but came back and really rocked it.  I believe he was underrated as a guitarist.  He played on a number of other performers albums.  He will be missed.
