RIP Robert Mueller

Attorney, veteran, Director of the FBI.

I was going to post about him passing but didn’t want to start a political firestorm.

A true hero the likes of which the country desperately needs more of.  After graduating Princeton, he volunteered into the Marines and earned a bronze star and purple heart for his service in combat in Vietnam.  He was named FBI Director by Bush.  When Obama asked to extend his tenure as FBI Director the Senate vote to confirm was 100 to ZERO.  He served honorably as director and then as a federal prosecutor and eventually special prosecutor.  That his image has been attacked and defamed for doing what is right is purely despicable.  RIP sir and thank you for a lifetime of true service to country.

It's a shame that his death should cause a political firestorm.  His service to our country crossed both sides of the aisle.  He was respected by Democrats and Republicans for many years.  When I read what our current president posted I was blown away at the callousness, the angry tone and disrespect toward someone who served our country for many years in a variety of capacities.   Gotta say, I'm glad I'm old and hope that what's happening in our country will be a bump in the road in the future.  Too much anger...too much divisiveness...to many "quotes" and "grand proclamations" that sound like they come from angry adolescents instead of reasonable adults.
