Introducing myself: bubbly and brainy Brooklyn girl keeps finding herself in Colorado!

Hi everyone! First, thanks for welcoming me to TOB! My account here has barely been alive for a day and I've already gotten a lovely private hello, what incredibly promising vibes!

I'm Violet (aka "Rollergirl") and I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself because, despite being an out-of-state girlie, this past year has found me traveling a lot and I keep ending up in Colorado every so often!

In case you're wondering, yes, they call me Rollergirl because in my hometown of NYC it's all but a given that when the weather permits it I'll be zipping around the city on my skates. But, don't worry, I *do* know when to take them off! ;)

I'm a flirty, freckled ball of bright orange-cat energy shaped like a trans girl who loves staying active, and that's one (of three) reasons I'm back in Colorado! I'll be hitting the ski slopes at the end of the month in Steamboat Springs and I'd love any tips or advice any of you might have for the area whether ski-related of apres-ski related!

In addition to skiing, I've also timed my trip to coincide with EthDenver, a cryptocurrency conference happening the week of Feb 17th, which is the second reason I'm in town for so long. I'll be dipping in and out of both the main and side events so if you see me in that context please also feel free to introduce yourself. :) I have a professional interest in the field of cryptocurrency and especially privacy technologies (for what is probably obvious reasons to everyone here, lol) and have become something of an educator on the topic. I'd love to talk shop about financial privacy and private payment systems.

Looking forward to learning more about this community and all of you and chiming in from time to time whenever I'm coming back through town!

Hugs and kisses,

-Violet

Thanks, Kali! It'll be my first time on that mountain so I'm eager to see how it feels up there!

Hope you have a blast in Colorado.  We are a great state to visit.  Wish the snow was better this season for all the skiers and boarders.  Enjoy !!

This is going to sound silly because I know the mountain has changed. Take the lift up to Buddy’s and float all the way back down to the base for me. The last part of the heavenly days is when the ski slope goes directly under the main gondola. Because if the slope is the same as it was when I used to ski? Honestly, you will have to really gun it at the bottom because you have to go up a little ski ramp, and you don’t want to have to hike up the hill. Hopefully they've fixed it by now, but just in case, I thought I’d let you know.😍 If the snow really sucks, take a trip up Fish Creek Falls. I was there this last summer. I took my kids up there, and it is breathtaking.  The label for Coors beer is Fish Creek Falls. https://www.steamboatchamber.com/activities/hiking/fish-creek-falls/

Not silly at all! This is exactly the kind of local's view I appreciate! 😍🙏🏻

So I've come to understand. I'll be real that it's difficult to take the NYC out of the girl even when the girl is outside NYC, but I do enjoy the range and the mountains when I'm here. 😌

Yeah, maybe this month isn't the best time this year to come thru, but I'm sure I can find (or make) some fun on a very large rock one way or another. 🙂‍↕️
