Valley View Hot Springs

8 posts in this topic

I went recently and had the most amazing time. The location, the vibes, the camping, the springs themselves, everything was wonderful. Has anyone else been?

Thanks for the info.  I've never been but have fond memories of other hot springs adventures in Glenwood Springs and a few places in California.

Valley View brings many happy memories for me. I was a member there for years before they made all of the "improvements". Back when I started going there, about 1990, about the only amenity was the shower building. Before it became an land trust only members were allowed on weekends so you would get to know people and the kids would play and swim. Last time I was there the kids were mostly keeping to themselves playing with electronic toys, plastic trikes.... Still a beautiful place although it has definitely been "discovered".

It's too beautiful, the discovery was inevitable. I'm curious about the added amenities and what's different now? Also curious about how the membership is different, they still technically use memberships but I guess people can show up same day too.

I loved the man made pools, they were still natural looking but not uncomfortable. I didn't have a chance to use the swimming pool but definitely plan on that if I ever make it back. I loved the whole experience and really hope to make it back.

Haven’t been there in 10 years or more, however what I do remember is that clothing was optional, lots of hippie vibe + + +

Oh the old valley view. 🤭🤭 I could tell so much about this place, but I shall pass for now. I know the place extremely well though 😁😁

That stuff does happen there but people should know it's not advertised as that kind of place. But it is beautiful and romantic and nakedness is allowed if not encouraged.
